The rumor was,that he escaped,through bribery and that was that.

There was no obituary for him in the NYT, at least not in the online edition. -RM
Mossad might have done him in. He knew too much. Sorta like Robert Maxwell. Fadda of Ghislaine now in prison. Mossad their reputation for tying up loose end so is alleged.
