(290) video shows suspect [sic] shooting denver officer multiple times in unprovoked attack
denver police released surveillance video wednesday showing a man walking up to a police patrol car in the 2600 block of Zuni Street on june 7 and shooting an officer multiple times.
the suspect, identified as 35-year-old Nicholas Lendrum, died from multiple gunshot wounds after being taken to denver health. the officer was also taken to the hospital after three gunshots hit his bulletproof vest but did not penetrate his body.

That cop is very very lucky he is alive.
Several times recently I walked past a cop car parked on the street or in some normal public area like a parking lot. With a cop inside. Window open. The cop was holding his phone in his hand (probably his private smartphone), looking down at it and playing around with it. Not paying attention to what was going on around him. Didn't look up when I walked past nearby. I thought right then how stupid and careless that was. Because to some people cops are targets. It would have been easy to walk up to the car and blow his brains out.
