Songwriter (and occasional on-key singer) Kris Kristofferson dead at 88

By Grand Rapids Anonymous
sunday, september 29, 2024 at 11:00:00 p.m. edt

"(people) Kris Kristofferson, the renowned actor and country singer-songwriter, has died. He was 88.

"A representative for the star said he was surrounded by family when he died 'peacefully' at his home in Maui on Saturday, Sept. 28.

.

"Kristofferson was born on June 22, 1936, in Brownsville, Texas, to Mary Ann (née Ashbrook) and Lars Henry Kristofferson — a first-generation Swedish immigrant and U.S. Army Air Corps officer and Air Force general. [Later in life, when Kristofferson spoke of his father, he would say, "The General..." I'm not sure of his tone.]

"His love for country music began at a young age, and, according to a 2013 interview with NPR, Kristofferson penned his first song, 'I Hate Your Ugly Face,' at only 11 years old. A military brat, he moved often throughout his childhood until his family landed in San Mateo, Calif., when he was a teenager."

[N.S.: First, it was called the U.S. Army Air Corps. In 1941, prior to the Japs' sneak attack on Pearl, its name was changed to the U.S. Army Air Forces, and in 1947 the independent military branch, the U.S. Air Force, was founded by Congress.]

"He was a helicopter pilot in the Army and served a tour of duty in Germany.

"Afterwards, he made his way to Nashville, Tenn., while on leave, which reinvigorated his passion for music and led to him resigning from the Army in 1965.

"In Nashville, Kristofferson submitted songs he wrote while working as a night janitor at Columbia studios, including 'For the Good Times' and 'Sunday Mornin' Comin' Down.' Originally recorded by singer Bill Nash in 1968, 'For the Good Times' didn't achieve mainstream success until Ray Price released his version in June 1970, shortly after the song appeared on Kristofferson's debut album in April of that year. The track earned a Grammy nod for best country song in 1972 and famously covered by soul music icon Al Green.

"Penned by Kristofferson and also recorded for his first album, 'Sunday Mornin' Coming' Down' captured the attention of Nashville crooner Ray Stevens and country music legend Johnny Cash. Cash's rendition for The Johnny Cash Show live album won song of the year at the CMA Awards in 1970 and reached No. 1 on Billboard’s country music chart.

"Other covers would follow, including 'Me and Bobby McGee' co-written with Fred Foster and released on Janis Joplin's 1971 posthumous album, Pearl. The song became one of Kristofferson and Joplin's biggest hits, reaching No. 1 on the pop charts and earning two Grammy nominations in 1972 for best country song and song of the year. That same year, Kristofferson took home his first-ever Grammy for best country song for Sammi Smith's version of 'Help Me Make It Through the Night.

"Throughout the '70s, Kristofferson continued to release albums and singles as a recording artist, among which were 'Loving Her was Easier (Than Anything I’ll Ever Do Again)' and the two-time Grammy nominated song 'Why Me.' He also collaborated with country singer Rita Coolidge — his second wife — on several joint albums. The pair won two Grammys for 1973's 'From the Bottle to the Bottom' and their 1975 rendition of Clyde McPhatter's 1962 hit 'Lover Please.

"Kristofferson's talents extended beyond music and songwriting. He was featured in films like Cisco Pike (1972), Pat Garrett & Billy The Kid (1973) and Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore (1974).

"Then his big break came with his star-turning role as self-destructive rock star John Norman Howard in the 1976 remake of A Star is Born. Costarring Barbra Streisand as Esther Hoffman — an unknown singer and John Norman's love interest — the film earned Kristofferson a Golden Globe for best actor in 1977. He also was known for his performances as Whistler in the Blade trilogy opposite Wesley Snipes.

"Music was never far behind, though. Kristofferson formed a country supergroup with Cash, Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson called The Highwaymen. Their first album, Highwayman, and its titular single topped the country charts in 1985. The band released two more albums — 1990's Highwayman 2 and 1995's The Road Goes on Forever.

GRA:He was pro-palestinian, but politics aside, the talent was there--at least as a songwriter--and when he was younger--a singer. Back then, there WAS a lot of talent--where did it all go?

dock strike imminent-- at 12 midnight; here's a timeline of how it would affect food delivery and prices

By Grand Rapids Anonymous
monday, september 30, 2024 at 11:32:00 p.m. edt

"(em) what to expect if there's a strike:"

"as many as 36 ports would have to stop operating if a strike happens, blocking almost half of the cargo going in and out of the U.S. on ships.

"if the strike lasts just a day, then it would not be noticeable to a typical consumer. however, businesses of all kinds would no doubt feel the pinch. J.P. Morgan estimates that a strike could cost the U.S. economy $5 billion every day.

"even if only a one-day strike happens, it could take about five days to straighten out the supply chain.

"if a strike lasts a week, the results would quickly become apparent to most consumers.

"some shipping companies have already begun to reroute their cargo to the west coast. even if there's no strike at all, costs will rise and the warehouses could run out of room.

"the effects on everything from bananas and cherries to chocolate, meat, fish and cheese could be severe, and the shipping disruption could also hamper trade in some prescription drugs if the strike lasts at least a week.

"if the strike were to last a month or more, supplies needed by factories could be in short supply. numerous consumer products would not be delivered. workers would be laid off. U.S. exports, including agricultural ones, might get stuck rather than shipped to their destinations. inflation might increase again. and there would be a new bout of heightened economic anxiety and uncertainty – along with immense financial losses.

"all the while, west coast ports would face unusually high demand for their services, wreaking havoc on shipping there too.

"yes, we'd have no bananas

"my research group's latest work on supply chain disruptions and the effects of various transportation disruptions, including delays, quantifies the impact on the quality of fresh produce. We did a case study on bananas.

"this isn't a niche problem.

"bananas are the most-consumed fresh fruit in the U.S.

"many of the bananas sold in the U.S. are grown in ecuador, guatemala and costa rica. about 75% of them arrive at ports on the east and gulf coasts.

"although bananas are relatively easy to ship, they require appropriate temperatures and humidity. even under the best conditions, their quality deteriorates. long delays will mean shippers will be trying to foist mushy brown bananas on consumers who might reject them. [Might?!]

"alternatively, banana growers may opt to find other markets. it's reasonable to expect to find fewer bananas and much higher prices – possibly of a lower quality. flying bananas to the U.S. would be too expensive to sustain.

"fresh meat and other refrigerated foods could spoil before they can complete their journeys, and fresh berries, along with other fruits and vegetables, could perish before reaching their destinations.

"if there's a port strike, tons of fresh produce, including bananas, that would arrive after oct. 1 would end up having to be discarded. that is unfortunate, given the rising food insecurity rate in the U.S.

"1947 Taft-Hartley act

"more than 170 trade groups are urging the Biden administration to intervene at the last minute to avoid a strike.

"the government can invoke the 1947 Taft-Hartley act, which allows the president to ask a court to order an 80-day cooling-off period when public health or safety is at risk.

"however, [fake] president Joe Biden reportedly does not plan to invoke it – even as he urges the two sides to settle their differences.

"so if you're planning to bake banana bread or were thinking you might get an early start on your holiday shopping, I'd advise you to make those shopping trips as soon as possible – just in case."

Three reasons why Pete Rose, RIP, must be inducted into the baseball hall of fame

[N.S.: As my longtime VDARE colleague, Steve Sailer, noted, he was banned from baseball for life, "not eternity,"—and now, he’s dead.

The fraudulent records of all sorts of cheaters (Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens, Alex Rodriguez, et al.), none of whom has been banned, are maintained, writers are permitted to vote for them for the hall, and at least one (Pudge Rodriguez) has been inducted.

And one player, Ohtani, who will forever be under the cloud of a gambling scandal, has been permitted to continue playing, and breaking records.]

Pete Rose rounds the bases for the last time—dead at 83
By Grand Rapids Anonymous
monday, september 30, 2024 at 9:34:00 p.m. edt

“(Breitbart) major league baseball’s all-time hit leader, Pete Rose, died monday at his home in las vegas, according to tmz sports.

“He was 83 years old.

“Pete’s agent, Ryan Fiterman of Fiterman sports, confirmed the news, saying, ‘the family is asking for privacy at this time,’ tmz sports reports.

[N.S.: Go to hell; he was a public figure.]

“Rose’s accomplishments as a player are the stuff of legend.

“during his 24-year career, which was almost entirely spent with the reds and phillies, the player known as ‘Charlie hustle’ amassed 4,256 hits (an mlb record), 160 home runs, 1,314 rbis, and a lifetime batting average of .303.

“in addition, he was named to the mlb all-star game 17 times and became the 1973 nl mvp. Rose also won three world series titles with the reds and phillies.

“Rose returned to the reds as a player-manager in 1986. three years later, in 1989, then-mlb commissioner A. Bartlett Giamatti signed an agreement in which Rose agreed to a lifetime ban in return for the league not making a formal determination about whether or not he had bet on baseball.

“the agreement gave Rose some leeway to say he never wagered on baseball. however, in the mid-2000s, he eventually admitted that he had.

“though Rose eventually gained entry into the Reds hall of fame, mlb never rescinded its ban.”

GRA: Back in the day, Rose had a hitting streak that was approaching Joe DiMaggio’s 56 game all-time streak. wgn-tv was broadcasting the cubs on free tv at the time and I was glued to the set for every cincy/cub game. Each at bat was dramatic and I don’t recall if Rose’s streak ended during those games—which finally ended at 44. One of my favorite players—intense was an understatement—back when baseball was enjoyable.

Olivia Nullity has won the Duranty-Blair Award for journalistic infamy, for being a complete Nuzzi (or, is it that Nuzzi Has Won the D-B for being a complete nullity?) Nullity/Nuzzi’s new york magazine editor-in-chief, David Haskell, has also won a D-B for sponsoring her

By Nicholas Stix

Olivia Nuzzi has achieved fame for allegedly sleeping with Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a charge which she denies, but which the commissars at new york magazine took seriously enough to suspend her. Nuzzi/Nullity has been new york’s Washington correspondent.

Usually, I bestow the Duranty-Blair Award on media operatives for having lied, although I also bestow D-Bs for journalistic acts of wickedness or evil. But Olivia Nuzzi is different.

According to Oliver Darcy, “‘recently our Washington correspondent Olivia Nuzzi acknowledged to the magazine’s editors that she had engaged in a personal relationship with a former subject relevant to the 2024 campaign while she was reporting on the campaign, a violation of the magazine’s standards around conflicts of interest and disclosures,’ a spokesperson for New York magazine said in a statement in response to questions from Status [Darcy].

[“Nuzzi’s RFK Relationship,” by Oliver Darcy, Status, September 19, 2024 (Darcy and Status are one and the same.)]

“‘Had the magazine been aware of this relationship, she would not have continued to cover the presidential campaign,’ the spokesperson added. ‘An internal review of her published work has found no inaccuracies nor evidence of bias. She is currently on leave from the magazine, and the magazine is conducting a more thorough third-party review. We regret this violation of our readers’ trust.

“In her own statement, provided to Status after this story initially published, Nuzzi confirmed that ‘earlier this year, the nature of some communication’ between herself ‘and a former reporting subject turned personal. “‘during that time, I did not directly report on the subject nor use them [sic] as a source,’ Nuzzi added. ‘the relationship was never physical but should have been disclosed to prevent the appearance of a conflict. I deeply regret not doing so immediately and apologize to those I’ve disappointed, especially my colleagues at new york.’”

Nuzzi and Kennedy have both denied that they slept together, but this reporter is at a loss as to what could possibly have constituted a “personal relationship,” without sex. Nuzzi is not a spiritual or intellectual person. Note, too, the allegation that Nuzzi sent Kennedy nude pictures of herself.

If Nuzzi and Kennedy didn’t sleep together, that would be for me the most embarrassing thing about the scandal. Reportedly, she sent him nude pictures of herself, and spent time with him alone. To go that far, and not sleep together?

So, why am I giving her a D-B already?

I am not bestowing the most significant journalistic booby prize on Olivia Nuzzi for having slept with an heir of America’s most ruthless political dynasty, or having not slept with him, when she had the chance.

“Olivia Nuzzi, 24

“Washington correspondent, New York Magazine

“Nuzzi was hired by New York Magazine in January [2014] and has already had three cover stories -- including a buzz-worthy piece about Kellyanne Conway. As the magazine's first-ever Washington Correspondent, she covers Congress and national politics in the age of Trump, who she first interviewed about his political ambitions in 2014.”

“Buzz-worthy”? What does that mean? I am unaware of a single important article Nuzzi has ever written. I was so desperate, I even read her entry at The Pretend Encyclopedia.

The most dramatic thing I learned about her was that in 2018 she committed a home invasion (you know, a crime) against Trump campaign staffer Corey Lewandowski, and allegedly stole Lewandowski’s photo album.

Nuzzi confessed to the home invasion, though she used dishonest language, but did not respond to the charge of theft, and New York did not punish her for her crimes.

Now, I’m also not hitting Nuzzi with a D-B for her crimes against Corey Lewandowski, because I have favorably recounted that sort of thing in Chicago from Hearst reporters 100 years ago, and more recently, a couple of reporters who hacked into a telephone system, and exposed chiquita banana’s bribery of foreign governments. However, the Hearst reporters were breaking into the apartments of people who had just died or been murdered.

But Olivia Nuzzi committed crimes against people she was writing on, who were still alive, but she still didn’t come up with anything! (Note that democrats were so obsessed with destroying Lewandowski that they conspired to make false criminal charges against him, and got his cowardly boss to fire him, though the President has recently re-hired him.)

“The 31-year-old star [?!] political reporter was placed on leave after admitting a non-physical ‘personal relationship’ with a former 2024 campaign subject while reporting on the presidential campaign, the magazine said late Thursday.”

[“how NY mag’s Olivia Nuzzi covered RFK Jr. after alleged ‘sexting’ started — and the tweet that’s haunting her” by Emily Crane, new york post, sep. 20, 2024.]

[N.S.: If she was a “star political reporter,” I should have heard of all sorts of big stories she’d broken. Like what?]

“Neither Nuzzi nor the magazine divulged the identity, but sources told the post that the Washington correspondent had allegedly been sexting Kennedy — while she was engaged and he was married.” (new york post, Emily Crane, idem.)

Last April 22, Nullity was thrown out of the new york city federal court press room, where media operatives got to watch the President’s kangaroo court state “hush money trial” trial on monitors, for repeatedly flouting the federal law, which makes it a misdemeanor to “televis[e] or photograph court proceedings” without authorization.

The court officers threw Nuzzi out of the viewing room. She continued “reporting on” the trial, but without being able to view it from the monitor room, and without revealing this to readers. (How did she even write about the trial? Was someone in the monitor room writing notes for her?)

“When busted for the second infraction, she tried ‘sweet talking’ one of the officers in charge.

“‘I know, I’m a f–king idiot, I’m sorry,’ she said, a witness recalled.”

[“Olivia Nuzzi was banned from Trump’s hush-money [sic] for taking prohibited photos twice; didn’t inform readers,” by Susan Edelman, new york post, september 21, 2024.]

About the only things we know about Nuzzi as a journalist are: 1. She’s an ardent “democrat;” 2. She’s got a gutter mouth; and 3. She’s a very popular girl. The “reporting” on her and RFK Jr. is at a point where her friends speak for her, and his “friends” speak for him. (Kennedys don’t have friends; they have relatives and family retainers.)

[“RFK Jr. makes bombshell claims about ‘obsessed’ Olivia Nuzzi as friend says former presidential candidate found star reporter’s ‘pornographic photos and videos difficult to resist,’” by Stephen M. Lepore, Daily Mail, September 22/23.]

Nuzzi has been given “journalistic” awards—“30 under 30,” from Forbes, and the afsme next award. However, they never cited any work of hers.

“30 under 30”

“the honorees were chosen by a distinguished group of print and digital journalists. the judging was led by Jessica Pels, editor in chief [sic], cosmopolitan. the judges included Andrea Chambers, director, new york university center for publishing; Kelly Conniff, editor, time.com; Jon Fine, executive director, editorial, inc.; Samantha Henig, editorial director, audio, the new york times; Claire Howorth, executive editor, vanity fair; Stephanie Kaplan Lewis, co-founder, ceo and editor in chief [sic], her campus media; Jacklyn Monk, executive editor, essence; Caroline Smith, editor, photography and visuals, topic; Ganda Suthivarakom, managing editor, wirecutter; Siung Tjia, design director, the new republic; Dan Wakeford, deputy editor, people; and Allison Wright, executive editor, Virginia quarterly review.”

Thirteen mopes, of whom only two were White men. All racist and sexist, and I’m not at all embarrassed to say that I’d never heard of a single one. One asian male, Siung Tjia, has an instagram page full of celebrations of blm and George Floyd. Note that if her campus media were a real media company, it would have exposed the institutionalized sexism behind constant rape and sexual harassment hoaxes. Instead, it’s an arm of the dnc, and a marketing company.

“the asme next awards 2019 winners represent the astonishing range of talent working in magazine journalism today, from writers and videographers reporting on the political and social transformation [destruction] of our country to photographers and editors whose work brings print and digital media to life,” said Sid Holt, chief executive of asme. ‘the accomplishments of these five 20-something journalists explain the enduring appeal of magazine storytelling.

“the asme next awards honor outstanding achievement by magazine journalists under the age of 30. sponsored by the american society of magazine editors, the asme next awards were established in 2016 to support the development of print and digital magazine media by recognizing young journalists who have already demonstrated extraordinary promise at the beginning of their careers. honorees receive medals bearing the likeness of ‘elephant,’ the symbol of the national magazine awards.

“nominees submit portfolios of their work, including print and digital content, and are judged on their career accomplishments and their potential to make significant contributions to magazine media. previous honorees include Lindsay Peoples Wagner, now editor in chief of teen vogue, and Ben Taub, whose reporting for the new yorker was nominated for a national magazine award in 2017 and won the Livingston award for international [foreign] reporting, the overseas press club award for investigative reporting and the Robert F. Kennedy award for international [foreign] print reporting. for more information about the awards, visit asmenextawards.org.” The first time I heard of a “portfolio” of one’s work, it was when I was teaching in the cuny system in the mid-1990s.

cuny was using two scams to cheat on grading, in order to pass illiterate blacks and hispanics. One was called “holistic grading,” where the instructor was to ignore all of a testee’s grammatical, spelling, spelling and style errors, and just pass him. The other called for “portfolios” of students’ work. The latter demand was redundant. Every teacher already has a portfolio of each student’s work on hand, or entered into his grading book. The “portfolio” demand was just another scam for passing failing students.

Each time I’ve won a journalism award, the issuing entity stated what it was for.

The first one, in 1995, was from the new york state press association, for best opinion column, for a column entitled, “Let Us Pray,” comparing Newt Gingrich’s call for a return to school prayer, to multicultural pedagogy, which I called morally equivalent, which I’d written in December, 1994, for the chelsea clinton news. The second one, in 2004, was from Orrin Judd, of the Brothers Judd blog, for one of the “Best of ‘04,” for my biographical essay, “George S. Schuyler, All-American.” The third and last award came in 2020, from Jared Taylor, of American Renaissance/new century foundation, for the first national exposé of the racially motivated hate crime massacre, the Knoxville Horror, which Taylor cited as the best article of the year from 2007.

I did find one decent piece of writing by Nuzzi, an obit for her father, John, in 2017.

But that’s not a journalism career.

[D-B boilerplate follows, followed by the list of previous honorees.]

Walter Duranty wrote a series of early 1930s dispatches from the soviet union, where he was times moscow bureau chief, in which he lied about the ukrainian Holocaust, in which Stalin deliberately starved millions of kulaks (farmers/peasants) to death, through a man-made famine. Instead of reporting the truth, Duranty reported that the peasants were happy and well-fed, and was rewarded for his lies with a Pulitzer prize.

Jayson Blair (here, here, and here) was an early 2000s black affirmative action hire, who alternately plagiarized reporters at other newspapers, and fabricated articles out of whole cloth, all for stories set hundreds and even thousands of miles away, while he sat in new york city cafés.

“it’s been a year unlike any the wnba has seen. players Caitlin Clark, Napheesa Collier, and Aliyah Boston talk about sold-out arenas and the physicality [you mean, racially motivated hate crimes?!] of the league. 60 minutes is the most successful television broadcast in history. offering hard-hitting investigative reports, interviews, feature segments and profiles of people in the news, the broadcast began in 1968 and is still a hit, over 50 seasons later, regularly making Nielsen’s top 10. 60 minutes dishes out 12 minutes of b.s.—barely acknowledges Caitlin Clark as a factor in the surge in wnba ratings and crowds

GRA: Whitey, Jon Wertheim interviewed Caitlin Clark for about 5 of the 12 minutes, and as he introduced the story said, “Clark was the biggest reason for the popularity of the WNBA this year, but not the only reason.”

He then went on to mention various negress players (which as Whitlock said, “no one cares about”). The players are now staying in 5-star hotels and flying on private planes, looking for a big league contract before next year (all because of Clark—let’s be real).

Clark looked pretty good in a tight, White, t-shirt and a padded bra, which made her look like Joey Heatherton. Heatherton, though didn’t wear a padded bra.

Wertheim brought up racism for about 30 seconds, but didn't ask Clark about it.

This was basically a public relations piece, promoting the league, while casting Clark as “one of many good players people want to see.”

It will be interesting the see the ratings of the wnba playoffs—post Clark—and see what the scribes think of those numbers.

They wouldn’t lie about that too—would they?

Many sheriffs, once known for their patriotism, have become reconquistas

“These sheriffs, who oversee counties along Arizona’s southern border, are citing everything from ‘budgetary concerns’ to accusations of ‘racism’ as reasons for not enforcing the new law.”

The cia, or a climate of hatred? Lew Rockwell on political assassinations and conspiracies

By “W”

https://www.lewrockwell.com/2024/09/lew-rockwell/lone-nuts-and-political-reality/

N.S.: I think Rockwell fell apart, by promoting claims where he had no facts, or the known facts contradicted him.

He could have stuck to all the times that presidents have used the cia to assassinate, or attempt to assassinate foreign leaders: many times against Castro (all unsuccessfully, and all by Jack Kennedy, who also condemned the bay of pigs invasion to failure), and the support for the eventual chilean coup on september 11, 1973 led by general Augusto Pinochet against socialist president Salvador Allende (who had declared that he planned to steal foreign businesses, especially U.S.-owned copper companies), a coup which President Nixon and secretary of state Kissinger supported. (Allende committed suicide, rather than be taken prisoner.)

Oh, but that would not have supported Rockwell’s big claims, biggest of all, that the Kennedy brothers were at war with the cia.

I am not aware of any facts supporting the assertion that Bobby Kennedy planned on doing away with the cia.

And if “the company” were at war with the Kennedys, then surely it would have done something to Ted Kennedy, whom I believe was a soviet asset.

If Ted was part of a family hell-bent on destroying the cia, then killing him would have been a given.

Assassinating Ted would also have been a blessing, on general principle, following his killing (either by vehicular manslaughter or, if she was carrying his unborn child, premeditated murder) of Mary-Jo Kopechne. However, there were geopolitical reasons for killing him, as well.

(Why do I suggest Kopechne may have been carrying Kennedy’s unborn child? Because the Kennedy family got the Kopechnes to block the routine procedure of an autopsy being carried out on the victim. Why on earth would they do such a thing?)

In 1983-1985, we provided the west germans with Pershing II Mittelstreckenraketen (middle-range, Pershing II ballistic missiles), to protect them against a potential invasion by the soviets, who had thousands of tanks stationed in the Fulda gap.

At the time, Ted Kennedy led marches in west germany, as part of his “nuclear freeze” movement.

He could have been arrested, under the Logan act, for acting as his own secretary of state, or assassinated, but he was left in peace.

There are people, with Lew Rockwell either one of them, or whom Rockwell is geared towards, who still romanticize the Kennedys. I am not one of them. If you want to romanticize a politician, you’ll get farther with me doing it to President Nixon.

Thus, the idea of the cia being at war with the Kennedy brothers, and having assassinated two but not the one who was the biggest thorn in its side, is ridic.

The notion that the cia began running rogue assassination attempts and actual assassinations (as opposed to the times that sitting presidents ordered “the company” to do so) beginning in the early 1960s, is even more ridic. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence (Hume on miracles). What Lew Rockwell has done, is leapfrog from one baseless conspiracy theory to another, while acting as if the lack of evidence for the one, were proof of the next.

Even if one or more of the successful or attempted rogue assassinations were the products of conspiracies, that would not prove that the cia was behind a single one of them.

The one thing Lew Rockwell got right (as another colleague argued), was in showing the lack of credibility of the anti-conspiracy nuts’ assertion that every assassin was a “lone nut.” But that’s no substitute for a lack of facts for his positive claims.

It’s simpler and more credible to say that the democrat party (which includes the msm) has fomented a climate of hatred against the President, which has issued in a series of assassination attempts against him, going back to 2016.

chicago (and bLACK mayor Brandon Johnson) isn't serious about stopping crime--ends shotspotter program; police department panics

By Grand Rapids Anonymous
saturday, september 28, 2024 at 8:57:00 p.m. edt

"chicago (wls) -- chicago police kicked off a new campaign to encourage residents to be more proactive in calling 911 now that the city no longer has shotspotter.

"in the 6th police district on the city’s south side, a community policing push is underway to raise awareness about the need for people to call 911 when they hear gunfire.

"'We've been, have been canvassing the last week and a half now, passing out those flyers, the boards that you can hang in your window that said we call the police. so that's, that's one of our biggest things, we've been handing those out at our beat meetings,' said cmdr. Michael Tate.

"police hoping to give out 100,000 'we call police' signs across the city as part of a campaign to make up for the loss of shotspotter, which was deactivated last weekend."

[GRA: Brandon Johnson said it was “racist” and zeroed in on minorities. DUH!]

"They will also be using social media as part of the campaign.

"cpd superintendent Larry Snelling said the department has to be fluid now that they don't have shotspotter at their disposal.

"'We're going to continue to be proactive to try to keep those shootings down. so, it's like anything else. if we have to change, we have to adapt. if something is removed or something is brought in new, we have to adapt,' he said.

"without shotspotter, police are also going to be relying more on information gathered by district intelligence officers to try to prevent conflicts that can lead to shootings.

"'We create strategies around that information. so we'll just continue to work in that fashion, and anything that we can improve upon. We're going to continue to move in that direction,' he said.

"church and community groups are also doing their part.

"'We're talking about it more. We're encouraging people more. We're getting ready to actually put together a flyer to send out through all of our social media. shotspotter is gone. You're still there. make a call,' said father Michael Pfleger, St. Sabina Church.

GRA: Why would blacks cooperate NOW? black thugs, however, will jump for joy, knowing an early detection system has been removed.

N.S.: Michael Pfleger?! He's a rabid supporter of black criminals, and genocidal, black liberation theology, has been for a generation.

bLACK rapes tourist from montana (i.e., White) in Greenwich village

By Grand Rapids Anonymous

“(ny post) a montana woman was stalked and chased by a sex fiend through Greenwich village after leaving a subway station, then attacked on a darkened street.

“the urban nightmare unfolded around 1:30 a.m. on sept. 15, when the victim, 29, walked out of the west fourth street station and felt a stranger following her.

“she began to run but her pursuer caught her around west 11th Street, police said.

“the video shows the suspect shirtless walking in the area of the crime.

“the nypd released surveillance video of the suspect [sic] in an attempted rape near the financial district.

“‘I don’t want your phone. I want to please you,’ the attacker growled as he grabbed her, police sources said.

“he tossed the woman to the ground, straddled her, then groped and punched her while barking, ‘don’t fight. don’t scream. I will kill you,’ police sources told the post.”

N.S.: That area is full of people at 1:30 a.m., every night of the week. I used to hang out there, and come home via the west fourth street subway station. “Darkened street,” my butt.

Lee Smith says something fundamental: "kill your enemies"

Lee Smith says something fundamental: 'kill your enemies.'

Very occasionally, a prominent voice states something that basic.

My favorite example is something General Curtis LeMay said after WWII: "I'll tell you what war is. You have to kill people. When you've killed enough, they stop fighting."

"killing Nasrallah"

Israel shows America how to win wars

By Lee Smith

Lee Smith is the author of the permanent coup: how enemies foreign and domestic targeted the American President ...

september 27, 2024

"friday evening in the levant, Israel targeted buildings in the southern suburbs of beirut killing hezbollah general secretary Hassan Nasrallah. this operation represents a dramatic shift in Israeli strategy. not only have they finally liquidated an adversary they've long been capable of killing, they've also turned a deaf ear to their superpower patron of more than half a century. but at this stage, heeding Washington's advice in war is like taking counsel from the angel of death. just as the U.S. is no longer willing or able to win the wars it commits Americans to fight, the Joe Biden administration won't let U.S. allies win wars either.

"by ordering the strike on Nasrallah while attending the u.n. general assembly, Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu underscored the Jewish state's independence from the global consensus that has resolved not to confront terrorists but rather to appease them, whether they're plotting in the middle east or living among the local populations of western nations, including the United States. Israel's attack also shows that almost everything U.S. and other western civilian and military leaders have believed about the middle east for the last 20 years was simply a collection of excuses for losing wars. the questions that senior policymakers and pentagon officials, think-tank experts and journalists have deliberated over since the invasion of iraq—questions about the nature of modern warfare and the proper conduct of international relations in a multipolar world, etc.—can now be set aside for good because they have been resolved definitively.

"the answers are as they ever were—at least before the start of the 'global war on terror.' contrary to the convictions of George W. Bush-era neoconservatives and the pro-iran progressives in Barack Obama's camp, securing a nation's peace has nothing to do with winning narratives, or nation-building, or balancing U.S. allies against your mutual enemies for the sake of regional equilibrium, or any of the other academic theories generated to mask a generation's worth of failure. rather, it means killing your enemies, above all those who advocate and embody the causes that inspire others to exhaust their murderous energies against you. thus, killing Nasrallah was essential.

"taking down officers demoralizes a force. wiping out its chain of command cripples it. hezbollah is a function of the islamic revolutionary guards corps, and if allowed to survive the lebanese militia will be replenished and trained by the irgc to replace the fallen. Nasrallah issued from a different source. he was the protégé of iran's supreme leader, Ali Khamenei. their tenures—until now—were roughly coterminous: Khamenei replaced the founder of the islamic republic Ruhollah Khomeini in 1989 and chose Nasrallah to lead hezbollah in 1992. the iranians built around Nasrallah not only a network of proxies stretching from the eastern mediterranean to the persian gulf but also a comprehensive worldview—permanent resistance. killing him marks a defining moment capping the end of a 30-year reign of terror.

"Israel's campaign went into high gear on sept. 17 with the detonation of hezbollah's communications devices, which Israeli intelligence had booby-trapped with explosives, decommissioning thousands of the terror organization's medical and logistical support staff as well as fighters. because hezbollah's communications infrastructure, as well as its supply chain, was compromised, senior officials were forced to meet in person. consequently, Israel was able to liquidate senior operations commander Ibrahim Aqil—who took part in the 1983 attacks on the U.S. embassy and marine barracks in lebanon—and other top commanders from the elite radwan force in a strike in the southern suburb of beirut on sept. 20. in attacks on hezbollah strongholds across lebanon, Israel has killed hundreds of fighters and destroyed thousands of long- and medium-range missiles and launchers. with Nasrallah and virtually all of its senior command dead, hezbollah has been decapitated.

"Israel's immediate goal is to get the 60,000 Israelis who have been displaced from the north since oct. 7 back into their homes. therefore, say Israeli officials, hezbollah forces must be driven north of the litani river, roughly 20 miles away from the border. the Biden administration says the Israelis can't reach their goals through force and the only way forward is through diplomacy. in fact, the harder Israel struck hezbollah, specifically showcasing its ability to eliminate its leadership, the more desperate the white house became to end idf operations. the Biden team took advantage of the u.n. general assembly to work with france on a statement calling for a 21-day ceasefire that would shut down Israel's campaign and protect Nasrallah.

"even if Israel weren't proving the white house wrong hourly about its ability to win its goals on the ground, the fact is that U.S. diplomatic assurances regarding hezbollah are worthless.

"U.S. officials brought an end to the 2006 Israel-hezbollah war with u.n. security council resolution 1701. it stipulated that there were to be no armed personnel or weapons south of the litani, other than those of the lebanese government and the u.n. peacekeeping force. the resolution was a farce, as hezbollah's presence and capabilities in south lebanon have only grown in the two decades since it was passed. obviously, there is no chance the lebanese government will ever take action against hezbollah, which controls the government. nor will the U.S., france, or any other power enforce unscr 1701—except to endorse the lebanese demand for an end to Israeli overflights and indulge beirut's border claims.

"for Israel, the even bigger problem with 1701 is that since 2006, hezbollah has become capable of launching missiles from virtually anywhere in lebanon, as well as syria, to reach every part of Israel. pushing hezbollah off the border would make it harder for the militia to mount a cross-border invasion like oct. 7, but it would still leave all of Israel under threat from its long- and mid-range missiles. reports friday that the Israelis will continue to conduct strikes on the southern suburbs indicate that jerusalem knows the core issue isn't on the border but is rather in beirut, hezbollah's capital.

"Netanyahu was aware that if he meant to do more than just degrade hezbollah's capabilities until it regrouped and resupplied, he had only a small window of time. the Biden white house had done everything in its power to stop Israel's campaign against hamas, like withholding ordnance that would have spared Israel risking the lives of its combat troops, while also openly opposing an Israeli campaign in lebanon. therefore, it was 11 months before Netanyahu could turn north. but since the delay coincided with unprecedented developments in the U.S. domestic arena—a president retired from active duty and a vice president campaigning for the top spot by hiding from the press—the Israelis seized the opportunity to lay siege to hezbollah while the oval office was effectively vacant.

"unsurprisingly, Israel's success against hezbollah the last two weeks alarmed the former Obama officials staffing the current administration. after all, Obama's strategy to realign U.S. interests with iran was predicated on the 2015 joint comprehensive plan of action, which put iran's nuclear weapons program under the umbrella of an international agreement guaranteed by the United States. the iranians armed hezbollah with missiles in order to deter Israeli action against their nuclear facilities, which is to say that the lebanese militia serves not only iranian interests but also those of the Obama faction.

"the Biden team tried to stop Netanyahu from continuing his hezbollah campaign by outlining how it intends to punish Israel in the period between the november election and the january inauguration with sanctions and other anti-Israel [N.S.: anti-Semitic] measures. but by telegraphing its intentions, the white house inadvertently incentivized Netanyahu to act quickly. since a Harris victory ensures four to eight more years of a white house filled by Obama aides determined to protect the iranians and their proxies, and a Donald Trump win means Biden's punitive actions go away, Israel saw it had nothing to lose in either case. so on friday, Netanyahu brought the era of permanent resistance to an end by killing the cult leader the Obama faction so desperately wanted to but could not keep alive.

"in the past, Israeli officials warned against targeting the terror chief. they feared it might bring about an even more ruthless leader just as Israel's 1992 assassination of then-hezbollah chief Abbas al-Mussawi elevated, in their eyes, the more effective Nasrallah. but what made Nasrallah special, what gave rise to the personality cult around the man whose name means "victory of God [sic, allah]," was his relationship with Khamenei.

"in 1989, Nasrallah left lebanon for iran, where the 29-year-old cleric was introduced to Khamenei. in the vacuum left by Khomeini's death, Khamenei was working to consolidate his power, which included taking control of hezbollah, tehran's most significant external asset. he saw Mussawi's assassination as an opening to put his own man in place, and with hezbollah's operations against Israeli forces in lebanon, Nasrallah's legend steadily grew. even Israeli officials credited hezbollah for driving Israel out of the south in 2000, a singular triumph worthy of the name Nasrallah, a victory against the hated Zionists that no other arab leader could claim.

"but the myth of Nasrallah as turban Napoleon was dispelled with the disastrous 2006 war which he stumbled into by kidnapping two Israel soldiers. later he said that had he known Israel was going to respond so forcefully, he'd never have given the order. and yet despite the thousands killed in lebanon, hezbollahis and civilians, and the billions of dollars worth of damage, he claimed that hezbollah won just because he survived. before his demise, he'd been in hiding since 2006.

"Israel's recent demonstrations of its technological prowess show that Nasrallah survived this long thanks only to the sufferance of the jerusalem government. Netanyahu and others seem to have hoped the hezbollah problem would resolve itself once the Americans came to their senses and recognized the threat iran posed to U.S. regional hegemony. but the Israelis misread the strategic implications of the 2003 invasion of Iraq.

"the George W. Bush administration's freedom agenda gave iraq's shia majority an insuperable advantage in popular elections. and since virtually all the shia factions were controlled by iran, democratizing iraq laid the foundations for iran's regional empire, as well as Obama's realignment strategy, downgrading relations with traditional U.S. allies like Israel and building ties with the anti-American regime. even Trump, whose january 2020 targeted killing of iranian terror chief Qassem Soleimani and his iraqi deputy Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis was far and away the most meaningful operation ever conducted by U.S. forces on iraqi soil, couldn't entirely break the mold cast by his predecessors and which the pentagon protected like a priceless jewel.

"U.S. forces are still based in iraq and syria to fight isis and any other sunnis the iranians and their allies categorize as threats to their interests. the detail seems almost like a medieval curse imposed on the losing side in a war. after the iranians killed and maimed thousands of U.S. troops in iraq, and helped kill and wound thousands more by urging their syrian ally Bashar Assad to usher sunni fighters from the damascus airport to the iraqi front, America's best and bravest are condemned to eternal bondage requiring them to protect iranian interests forever.

"the idea advanced by conspiracy theorists from the U.S. political and media establishment on the left as well as the right that Netanyahu is trying to drag the U.S. into a larger regional war with iran—a thesis sure to be cited repeatedly in the aftermath of Nasrallah's assassination—is absurd. the Obama faction, of which Biden and Harris are a part, is in iran's corner. moreover, only a fool could be blind to the fact that the pentagon way of war, three decades into the 21st century and a world away from the United States' last conclusive victory, means death for all who pursue it.

"if Washington and the europeans are appalled by Israel's campaign over the last two weeks, it's because the Israelis have resurfaced the ugly truth that no modish theories of war, international organizations, or even American presidents could long obscure. wars are won by killing the enemy, above all, those who inspire their people to kill yours. killing Nasrallah not only anchors Israel's victory in lebanon but reestablishes the old paradigm for any western leaders who take seriously their duty to protect their countrymen and civilization: kill your enemies."

"Jason Whitlock: racism against Caitlin Clark has reached maximum levels" (or has it?)

By Grand Rapids Anonymous

Jason Whitlock: “All of this conversation around indiana fever fans – it’s just misguided, over-hatred of Caitlin Clark, and pointed a finger at ‘tHoSe gUyS! tHeY’Re tHe rAcIsTs!’... when really, YA’LL are the racists. the people coming up with excuses to hate Caitlin Clark and the new fan base that she brought.

“nike won’t even put out a Caitlin Clark commercial or a Caitlin Clark shoe because nike has decided that they must bow to the angry black feminists [read: lesbians], the ‘black lives matter’ movement, the feminist movement overall, and the whole identity politics movement of ‘Caitlin Clark is the biggest star in sports, but in order to promote equity, fairness, diversity, and inclusion, you must spend all your money promoting A’ja Wilson.’ – someone most people don’t know exists, and don’t care about. you have to do that out of ‘racial equity’ and ‘racial justice.’ don’t lean into Caitlin Clark, who could make you a bunch of money when your stock is tanking and you’ve have [sic] to fire your ceo. lean into A’ja Wilson, a 6’5” person no one really knows or cares about. and it’s not our fault. Tim Duncan was a great basketball player – no one cared. he didn’t sell shoes. [racist thug] Allen Iverson did, [racist] Jordan did, [rapist] Kobe did, [race hoaxer] LeBron did... Duncan wasn’t an exciting player. [He wasn’t racist.] Caitlin Clark could sell shoes, but no, ‘hEr fAn bAsE Is hAtE! iT’S ThE WrOnG TyPe oF FaNs! ThEy tWeEt mEaN ThInGs tO AlYsSa tHoMaS!’... this stuff is a joke.

“they hate Caitlin Clark. occasionally I’ve tried to defend Sheryl Swoopes but at this point it’s just crystal clear. Angel Reese is a hater, and her whole media popularity and platform is built off the back of Caitlin Clark.

“Caitlin Clark is ‘Kunta Clark.’ she’s the actual slave that everybody else is exploiting for their benefit. Angel Reese is included at the top of that list, and now Alyssa Thomas is like ‘LET ME GET MY PIECE!’... Dijonai Carrington jumps in ‘LET ME GET MY PIECE!... Dijonai Carrington in game 1 poked Caitlin Clark in the eye intentionally in my view and in most rational [honest] people’s view. nothing even happens to Dijonai Carrington.

“Marina Mabrey hits a dagger three that basically decides [Game 2] in the fourth quarter, and then does a ‘POKE ME IN MY EYE!’ celebration with Dijonai Carrington and they just laugh it off. Caitlin Clark got poked in the eye and injured, black eye, you can still see the black eye... there was no foul call in game 1 when it happened, there was no investigation of whether this was a flagrant act and deserved any type of penalty. totally ignored. the most important player, and the person driving all of your engagement. everybody is making money off Caitlin Clark. she gets gouged in the eye by a player who clearly hates her. we’ve seen her previous behavior; we’ve seen her tweets; she clearly hates her. wnba makes no statement. it’s an actual joke it happened, and something the players can joke, laugh about, and mock later. but oh, my God, let an indiana fever fan tweet anything to any player and the wnba is gonna release a statement, and Alyssa Thomas and these other girls are going to hold press conferences ‘hAvE YoU SeEn tHeSe tWeEtS?!’... ‘sTiCkS AnD FiNgErNaIlS MaY PuT OuT My eYe bUt wOrDs iS WhAt rEaLlY KiLlS Me!’... this league is insane.

“I’m going to miss Caitlin Clark, but I’m so glad I don’t have to watch the rest of this. I’ve been so turned off by most of these players in the wnba. no wonder they don’t want us. because if we look at what they are, we get repulsed.”

GRA: The only race problem in the wnba is the one foisted on Clark by the negresses every game. Now Clark acquiesced with the statement the 'boons wanted her to say. Is it enough?

Is it ever?

Breaking news 4:15 p.m.: yemenis make assassination attempt against Netanyahu!

Breaking at 4:15 p.m. yemeni armed forces attack Ben Gurion airport as Netanyahu arrives from Washington, D.C. no word of its success or failure

“(almayadeen.net) the missile force of the yemeni armed forces (yaf) targeted on saturday the Israeli Ben Gurion airport in occupied [!] yafa (tel aviv) in parallel with the arrival of Israeli occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the location, announced yaf spokesperson brigadier general Yahya Saree.

[N.S.: Note that the jihadi press release is saying that the Jews of Israel may not live in their own country, that it belongs to jihadis.]

“in a statement, Saree mentioned that the operation comes in solidarity with the oppressed Palestinian people and in response to the Israeli crimes in Gaza and Lebanon.

“the yaf spokesperson confirmed that the latest operation was carried out using a ballistic missile of the palestine 2 type, just a day after the yaf launched an attack against a military target also in tel aviv using the same missile and a vital location in occupied askalan using the locally-manufactured yafa drone.”

wnba black supremacist lesbians launch second racist criminal conspiracy

N.S.: It’s a hoax, and it’s a second racist criminal conspiracy, on top of the one to maim Caitlin Clark, and run her out of the league. This racist conspiracy is intended to criminalize White fans. It was started by Dijonai Carrington, to deflect from her attempt to blind Caitlin Clark in the playoff game the other night, and is supported by aunt jemima White, female fake sports journalists.

By Grand Rapids Anonymous
wednesday, september 25, 2024 at 12:35:00 a.m. edt

Here’s the latest:

“a reporter asked [Dijonai] Carrington whether she intentionally hit Caitlin Clark. she was very quiet in responding and refused to admit knowing she had hit Clark in the eye.

“‘why would I even want to do that?

“she then explained further—without looking at the camera—and denied a reporter’s question that she had been caught laughing about it later on with teammate Marina Mabrey.

“‘no.”

About a 45-second interview and everyone knows my opinion of blackies’ propensity to lie about everything, but in the video, she spends most of the time playing innocent, while looking away from both the camera and interviewer.

The #1 way to tell if someone is lying is supposed to be: they don’t look you in the eye.

Caitlin Clark, for her part, has decided to let Carrington off the hook, saying, “I don't believe it was intentional”—thereby averting a race crisis.

[N.S.: But the race crisis has already been here all season. And her cowardice is only going to make it worse.]

And that appears to be that for the moment.

I’m sick of wnba lesbos, but brittney griner is making it impossible to ignore them. He now claims (yes, “he,” I don’t believe for a moment he is a bio female) that he has been subjected to racial taunts at games. While I wouldn’t be surprised that racial slurs have been hurled at him, it’s not by White fans. Some black fan yells, “Hey, Griner, stop playin’ like a n****a,” and that becomes some vast network of White racists screaming slurs at her and every other black player in the wnba.

I don’t know why Griner is suddenly playing the race card, maybe something to do with Caitlyn Clark and trying to create phony racism in support of her “sistahs,” or just the victim complex psychosis all blacks live with has surfaced.

Guess I shouldn’t call Griner a lesbo because if he’s a man, then technically he’s a hetero male. He sure ain’t cis, though.

I should have pointed out that in the Griner article he blames the “new fans” for the slurs. I missed that on the first reading but clearly he’s blaming Caitlin Clark fans. Lying pos.

Caitlin Clark tries to avoid being murdered by wnba bLACKS, as she turns on her White fans
By Grand Rapids Anonymous
friday, september 27, 2024 at 11:51:00 p.m. edt

“(Breitbart) the wnba’s crackdown on racism [sic] at games and online has received the full-throated support of the league’s top player.

“during exit interviews on friday, Clark was asked about the league’s initiative condemning ‘racist, derogatory or threatening comments’ directed at players and coaches. the wnba announced the plan after sun forward Alyssa Thomas accused Caitlin Clark’s fans of being racist.

“‘those aren’t fans. those are trolls,’ Clark said. ‘nobody in our league should be facing any sort of racism, disrespectful or hurtful comments and threats.”

[GRA: Except Clark—by black players—and throw in assault, so far, by those non-racist blacks.]

“after connecticut’s game 2 win over the fever, a win that ended indiana’s season, Alyssa Thomas unleashed on fever fans whom – she claims – hurled racial slurs at her online.”

[N.S.: What racist, lying scum she is.]

“‘we’ve been professional throughout the whole entire thing, but I’ve never been called the things that I’ve been calling (sic) on social media, and there’s no place for it,’ Thomas said. ‘basketball is headed in a great direction, but no, we don’t want fans that are going to degrade us and call us racial names.

“of course, Clark could have handled the question at her exit interview differently. throughout the year, the rookie sensation has been subjected to multiple physical attacks by veteran players—nearly [nearly?] all of whom were black.” GRA: The “unintentional” stabbing of her eye (and the “advice” you KNOW she received afterwards) must have taught Caitlin Clark a lesson: That she’d better cow-tow to the negresses from that point on, in order to survive in a black, lesbo sports league.

Or maybe she’s just woke and naive, but Clark was belted around most of the season and never brought up “racist trolls” (White fans). The Carrington stabbing seemed to open her eyes about how violent her black opponents could be.

And now she’s decided to go along with it all.

Too bad.

--GRA

N.S.: They just keep upping the ante, with the entire league—players, refs, league officials, coaches, announcers, even Clark’s own teammates—conspiring against her. Now, they have initiated a second conspiracy against White fans, i.e., Clark’s own fans, aided and abetted by White female fake sportswriters.

And she stabbed her own fans in the back!

It’s only going to get worse. She’s like a White girl in a black-dominated cell block. They might rape her, and demand she become a White sex slave.

But I no longer care about her. She’s a White Aunt Jemima.

affirmative action ump assaults affirmative action manager, and then throws him out of game!

By Nicholas Stix

In milwaukee, mets manager Carlos Mendoza argued a third strike call black hispanic umpire Ramon deJesus had botched (it should have been ball four, with two outs) in the fourth inning, but the ump, instead of holding his ground, moved up and bumped Mendoza, and then immediately threw him out of the game. Thereby did de Jesus prove that he is utterly unfit to be an ump at any level.

He was botching calls, mostly against the mets, all night long.

Even sny postgame announcer Jeremy Blevins (a retired mets reliever) suggested that deJesus may not be up to big-league standards, which I found pretty gutsy.

Typically, if a player or manager bumps an ump, the ump will immediately run him, and then the league will suspend the offender for a couple of games and fine him. But an ump bumping a skipper is unheard of. Or was.

https://www.northjersey.com/story/sports/mlb/mets/2024/09/27/ny-mets-carlos-mendoza-ejection-arguing-strikes-brewers/75420496007/

The mets lost to the brewers 8-4.

It’s a hoax, and it’s a second racist criminal conspiracy, on top of the one to maim Caitlin Clark, and run her out of the league. This racist conspiracy is intended to criminalize White fans.

TCM’s Film Noir of the Week Saturday Night-Sunday Morning at 12:30 and 10 a.m. ET is Curtis Bernhardt’s High Wall (1947) with Robert Taylor, Audrey Totter, Herbert Marshall and Dorothy Patrick.

Film Noir Guide: “Former war hero Taylor returns home to his wife and six-year-old boy after two years in a civilian job in Burma. During one of his frequent blackouts, Taylor awakens to find himself behind the wheel of his car, his wife’s dead body beside him, and the cops chasing him. He drives off the road, hoping to commit suicide, but instead winds up an amnesiac in a mental institution, where a psychiatrist (Totter) convinces him to undergo brain surgery to recover his memory.

“With his memory only partially restored as a result of the operation, he remains convinced that he killed his wife. When a stranger shows up claiming to have knowledge of a third party (Marshall) at the murder scene, Taylor agrees to undergo narcosynthesis treatment to help him recall the events that led to his wife’s death.

High Wall is a tense psychological thriller with Taylor excellent as the disturbed murder suspect, and noir veteran Totter enjoyable as the prim psychiatrist, whose interest in her patient seems to be more than professional.”

David in TN: This is another recycled film. Will Red Eddie Muller blast Robert Taylor for his HUAC testimony? Last week in his outro to Split Second, Eddie railed about the “ridiculous Cold War.” Was it ridiculous to the Communists who started and aggressively pursued it?

bLACKS drive oakland a’s out of the city; team will eventually move to las vegas

By Grand Rapids Anonymous
thursday, september 26, 2024 at 7:00:00 p.m. edt

(GRA) I didn’t know this until today, when I saw a google headline and checked it out. The 2024 season is the final one for a team that had a three- year dynasty in the early ‘70s with owner Charles O. Finley and a group of all-stars who won three championships from 1972-1974. “Catfish” Hunter, Reggie Jackson, Sal Bando, Ken Holtzman, Vida Blue, Gene Tenace and others were all top-notch players at the time and the city was not a black hellhole, either. Plenty of White fans came out to support those A’s, a colorful team, if there ever was one (uniforms included.)

Fast forward to 2024 and the city is a ghetto, with crime exploding the last decade, as black population rose to dangerous levels.

It became a city which couldn’t support a baseball team and as of 2025, the a’s will temporarily move to sacramento for three years, and then to las vegas.

The blacks ruined another industry, didn’t they?

I could see the white sox doing the same thing in that gangbanger city of chicago.

In their last home game, the a’s won, 3-2 (as if it mattered.)

--GRA

N.S.: GRA, you forgot a lot. It’s a wonder that the a’s didn’t leave town generations ago. I recall reading a magazine story during the a’s 1970s’ dynasty, when they were only getting fan attendance of 400,000-450,000 per season.

And Oakland has been a racist hellhole for 60 years. Huey Newton and Bobby Seale founded the black panthers there during the early 1960s, and Newton murdered White cop John Frey there in an ambush, in 1967. black supremacist cong. Ron Dellums also established himself there during the 1960s.

husband of moderator of vp debate gives $$s to pervs

Even if I had TV, I wouldn't watch this BS. BTW, I cut cable in October, 1988, after "America's Team: Your Atlanta Braves" went 54-106. I was tired of paying to watch bad baseball. The next month, cable rates in Colorado Springs went from c. $8 to $16-18. What are the basic rates now? I'll admit that I can cheat if I want to watch baseball sent to my PC. I haven't done that in a long time. But I think I've seen all the archived winning knuckleball games posted on YT
