GRA: No one knows what to make of it; I sure don’t. Maybe overestimating your capabilities and support from Russian troops. In that sense, OUR media had Putin gone and Ukraine winning a counter-offensive—with russia crumbling.
Typical “media-jumping-the-gun” behavior.

Back in the days of the old Soviet Union they used to call it "out of favor" which meant banishment.

(guardian)Vladimir Putin on Tuesday told members of Russia’s security services that they “essentially prevented a civil war” by acting “clearly and coherently” during Yevgeny Prigozhin’s armed mutiny on Saturday.
“The people and the army were not on the side of the mutineers,” Putin said, speaking outside the Kremlin in front of the heads of Russia’s main domestic security service, including the defence minister, Sergei Shoigu, whom Prigozhin had sought to oust with his uprising.
The Russian president then announced a minute of silence for the army pilots that Wagner shot down and killed during their uprising.
There has been no official information about how many pilots died or how many aircraft were shot down during Wagner’s rebellion but some pro-military bloggers reported that at least 13 pilots were killed during the mutiny.
GRA:nbc suggested that there weren't 25,000 Wagner forces rebelling,but only 8,000(one source,a woman "expert").What's their motive in downplaying the numbers?First,nbc reveled in the possible coup and now,are seeming to downplay it as if the reason for failure was the numbers only--a big reason,of course.They're also saying,"this is over--for now"--but the "coup" never really had a chance,did it,from what nbc is saying presently.Putin,however, is building it up as a great victory,so maybe THAT is nbc's motivation in minimizing the whole event.
