Why would a 13-year-old boy who did not know how to swim jump in the water? Didn’t any of his friends know how to swim, or how to save him? And why were the kids swimming there anywhere when no swimming is allowed there?
Viewers’ comments for this story are mainly closed, which is to say, censored. A couple of videos on Youtube have comments of a non-critical kind, such as “That’s very sad,” “Pray for his recovery,” “Wishing him a good recovery.” However, one commenter actually remarked, “He did it to himself.”
Realistically, one hopes that the boy succumbs soon and doesn’t linger on for years as a vegetable at the taxpayers’ expense. Of course prior to the accident he (and his family?) may already have been living at the taxpayers’ expense, but that’s another matter.
At least the turtles are happy that they weren't molested.
