“willowbrook, ill. (wgn) to—one person is dead and more than 20 others were injured [sic] in a shooting at a Juneteenth celebration early Sunday morning in Willowbrook, Illinois, police have confirmed.
“authorities were near the celebration, which began around 6 p.m. saturday, ‘monitoring the scene, the dupage county sheriff’s office said in a press release.
“shortly before 12:30 a.m., authorities were called away from the juneteenth celebration for a fight, but, as deputies were responding, they heard gunshots and returned to the scene.
“‘initially, I could see the scene coming down the street, and I knew we were going to have a significant response in the area,’ said battalion chief Joe Ostrander with the tri-state fire protection district.
“responding crews say they found multiple people injured after ‘an unknown number of suspects [sic] fired multiple rounds from multiple weapons into the crowd.
“as of sunday afternoon, the dupage county sheriff has confirmed that 22 people were injured [sic]. injuries ranged from graze wounds to more serious wounds, according to Ostrander. several others were injured [sic] while trying to leave the area.
“one person has died from their injuries, authorities said.”
GRA: willowbrook sounds White, but obviously not anymore.

I watched the wgn tv report and all the cops were White, the police chief, Joe Ostrander is White, but the sole witness was a fat, black chick who told wgn that “this occurred at 12:30 a.m, sunday. we were all leaving the strip mall area when ‘somebody’ [blacks] started firing multiple rounds on the crowd of [black] people celebrating juneteenth.”
Spectacular finish to the night. Another one of those “pop-up parties” (riots) that blacks are rapidly becoming famous for in grand rapids, but this one was in willowbrook.

And indeed, Willowbrook is 82% White, TWO PERCENT bLACK—which tells you plenty—that you don’t need a lot of blacks living in town to have the potential for something like this to happen. But even I thought 2% would be a fairly safe number.
If 2% isn’t safe, no number is safe.

Drove by the strip mall where the "party" occurred. You can't see much. Cops all over the place with do not cross line tape, lots of lights, TV vans, etc.
Housing complex just north of there must have a lot of Section 8 housing. Otherwise many up scale homes that area. I think that is where THEY came from. THEY.
Burr Ridge is just east of there. Again, very upscale homes. Upper class in some areas.
The cops were well aware of the party and had been watching for a while. As if that was going to do some good.

(WLS)A man was found shot over an hour earlier in Woodlawn on the South Side. The man, 48, was found with a gunshot wound to the head in the 6600-block of South Evans Avenue around 1:30 a.m., Chicago police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. No arrests have been made.
Another man was fatally shot early Saturday in Auburn Gresham on the South Side. Police responded to a call of a person shot in the 1600 block of West 80th Street when they discovered a 58-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the chest shortly after midnight. Witnesses at the scene told police they heard shots fired and saw the man fall to the ground.(GRA:Tired,time for a nig nap.)He was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead, police said. No one was in custody.
Another man died after he was found Friday night lying on a sidewalk with a gunshot wound in Garfield Park.(GRA:nig nap).The 26-year-old was shot in the lower back at about 6:30 p.m. in the 3900-block of West Gladys Avenue, according to Chicago police. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said. No one was in custody. No other information was available.
In nonfatal shootings, two 15-year-old boys were shot and wounded Sunday night in West Pullman on the Far South Side. They were standing outside around 8:40 p.m. in the 12800-block of South Normal Avenue when someone fired shots, striking one boy in the groin and the other in the foot, Chicago police said. Both boys were taken to Roseland Hospital, where they were listed in fair condition, according to police. No arrests were reported.
