Breaking News: General John Kelly is Resigning as White House Chief of Staff

Mick Mulvaney

By Nicholas Stix

Tucker Carlson reported this on his show tonight. Carlson mentioned OMB Director Mick Mulvaney and former Trump White House Communications Director Hope Hicks as possible successors, while leaving no doubt that he thinks Hicks would be a better fit. Carlson suggested that Mulvaney would not be on the same page with the President on policy, while noting that Trump has great respect for Hicks, who has long clicked with the President. However, he also noted that Hicks is notoriously press-shy and the Chief of Staff job would require that she interact with the media on a regular basis.

Did I hear Tucker Carlson wrong? How could a press-shy person function as White House Communications director?
