What Would It Mean to Take Blacks’ Statements Condemning George Zimmerman and Defending Trayvon Martin Literally? Remember Gary Larson’s Classic Far Side Cartoons?

A tip ‘o the hate to Ex-Army Libertarian Nationalist.

Those Who Can See has given us a brilliant satire (broad smile, not laugh-out-loud brilliant), in which he acts as if racist blacks and whites really meant the statements they made in condemning George Zimmerman and defending Trayvon Martin:

“We are Wild Animals; Treat Us as Such.”

This reminded me of The Far Side’s Gary Larson in his prime, when he trafficked in dead metaphors. “I hear you’re handy with a gun,” said the gunslinger to the man on the roof, hammering in nails with the butt of his gun. “Bart, you always shoot first and ask questions later,” said to a man holding a smoking sidearm, while standing over the man he’s just killed, asking him surreal questions.

Of course, the species TWCS examines are noted for their irony deficiencies, so they may have negative bodily reactions to this stimulus.
