It's been a week since our last murder.
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Grand Rapids police say a man was killed and another injured in a shooting on the city’s southwest side.
It happened around 4:30 p.m. Friday in the 1400 block of Grandville Avenue SW, Sgt. Terry Dixon told 24 Hour News 8.
Neighbors in the area told 24 Hour News 8 they heard at least six shots before a vehicle was seen speeding away on Van Raalte Drive.
Police are currently searching for suspects, but have not released descriptions.
The condition of the man who was injured is unknown at this time.
Around 5:15 p.m., three men were taken into custody for fighting at the scene.
GRA: A mix of black and Mex neighbor"hood," though a couple whites were seen standing among the onlookers. Whenever I drive down that area, I pray my car doesn't get a flat or something.
A hit by blacks on blacks is the initial thought, but not 100% sure. Will give details if necessary.
