new york times on Third Guilty Plea in Tessa Majors Murder

This (https://www.nytimes.com/2021/12/16/nyregion/tessa-majors-murder-rashaun-weaver-plea-html) is the new york times article on the plea by Rashaun Weaver for the murder of Tessa Majors.

After Rashaun Weaver's arrest, the times ran an editorial affectionately calling hm "Rashaun," asking for "probation."

The authorities say Weaver repeatedly was violent while confined in jail, attacking counselers, guard, and fellow prisoners.

Buried in the article, mention is made of surveillance video showing Tessa Majors fighting her three attackers and being slashed to death by them. The video of the murder is likely why all three defendants pleaded guilty.

And why there was no retconning of the Central Park 5 Hoax.

N.S.: But there was no lack of trying, initially, by Manhattan Borough President Gale A. Brewer, among others, who sought to create a hoax in this case. They lied about the Central Park Jogger Case, and set up parallel lies to this case. Apparently, as David suggested, when Brewer, et al., were unable to get the video of the Tessa Majors war crime murder suppressed or "disappeared," they shut up, and went to Plan B: Get the msm to "disappear" the crime.

NYPost Dec 11 2021 -- Call for Columbia cop ban a bitter irony after grad student slaying

The union that repped Columbia University student teachers like the tragic PhD candidate murdered last week wanted to cut all ties with the NYPD — and many undergrads continue to push banning cops from campus. ... In a now-bitter irony, the organizing committee of Local 2110 of the student workers union in June 2020 declared its loyalty to George Floyd protesters in de-funding and “fighting the police state.” ... A petition started two years ago demanded that Columbia “immediately cease any partnership or contract with the New York City Police Department” has been signed by nearly 14,000 people.

Columbia Spectator Dec 09 2021 -- Community members and experts predict negative response to increased NYPD and Public Safety presence in wake of Davide Giri's death

In the past two years, two Columbia students have been killed in or near Morningside Park. Columbia Public Safety and the NYPD’s responses to the murders have been nearly identical, and neither have been popular in the community. ... Majors’ memory lives on in the Columbia and Morningside Heights community. For student groups and community members, honoring Majors’ meant not just remembering their life, but ensuring that the campus and surrounding community came together. ... Community members and student groups advocated strongly against the use of police presence and force to combat violence, citing community-based measures as the key to stopping deaths given that the killer was only 14.

Note this part:

Derrick Haynes, a Democratic County Committee Member and Executive Director of Block Renovation City Community Services, shared that public safety changes made in response to Giri’s death are already visible, particularly near Morningside Park and the nearby Manhattanville and Grant houses. ... “In the evenings after a certain time, pretty much nobody is outside. And it's not just because of the cold. It's because of the uptick in the police presence,” he said.“This is not how we want to live.”

No bit of rhetoric is too nonsensical if it serves the 'narrative'.

Maybe it is good people are staying away from that park. For whatever reason.

I assure you, he's not talking about the park specifically -- and he's talking about members of the 'community', which is activist speak for Blacks and other people of color who for some reason we are supposed to believe fear cops so much they don't want to go outside and risk encountering one when there are more of them around.

I notice Vdare didn't mention the third guilty plea for the Tessa Majors murder. VDARE ran several articles you wrote at the time. Do they not want to link to them by giving an update?

The story is already out of the news and as you noted being forgotten by the msm.
