In this incident in Loudoun County, Virginia, local law enforcement is deciding whether to file charges. The "teen" shot had entered the house at 2:30 a.m. and was confronted by the homeowner, who told him to leave. He then fired a warning shot and the intruder continued toward the stairs. He then shot the intruder dead.
N.S.: My hunch: The kid was plastered. That’s no justification for his act; based on what I’ve read in articles and seen in videos, the homeowner had every right to shoot him.

This happened in NoVA, wouldn't surprise me if he was charged. Had this happened South of Fredricksburg there would most definitely would be no charges filed.
A few years back here in Richmond, Va the manager of a Baskin Robbins chased an armed robber out the front door firing the whole time. The guy ran a block home a died. No Charges! Win!
