John Travolta in Urban Cowboy -- completely different country today -- you get the same feeling looking at music videos featuring scenes from that era (e.g. The Byrds -- My Back Pages) -- it's like that country never existed -- its destruction is a tragedy.
Unless something miraculous happens, think about 30 years from now(miraculous being a war on these 48 states.)

Unless there is somebody I've forgotten this means that jerry lee lewis is the last of the great country/honky tonk piano players. Despite his history of substance abuse and self destructive behavior he has somehow outlived all his contemporaries and made it to the ripe old age of 86. He is still playing and performing. Had a major stroke in 2019 but has recovered.
