This from the article:
Howard, a private, historically Black college made up of 14 schools and colleges, is building the National Research Center for Health Disparities to attract pharmaceutical companies and biomedical researchers that are focused on finding treatments and cures for chronic illnesses affecting communities of color.
Is there a single "chronic" illness that doesn't also affect white communities? Maybe they need to find a cure for poor eating habits, chronic smoking and severe substance abuse issues, a myriad of bad lifestyle choices or how about a cure for disease that causes somebody to start shooting at imaginary slights.
Howard is a colored school. I can only imagine the high quality of direction and industry we are going to get from the school. School located in DC so they must have some big pull with the Dem politicians.
