In WOODTV's latest update, they have the following:

*Correction: Referencing information obtained from a family member, a previous version of this article misidentified the apartment complex where the body was found. We regret the error, which has been removed.

GRA:There have been some reports that Garcia lived in a house, but
nothing has been confirmed about that either.

Looks like WOOD settled on "the body of Mollie Schmidt was found in an apartment rented by Garcia"--though not at the place originally named.

This from their 11pm newscast.
