The Disgrace of the Marines

N.S.: A reader posted the following comment three days after what I believe was an FBI false flag incident at the Capitol. Even if it wasn’t a false flag incident, the FBI, Capitol Police, and other agencies turned it into a “Reichstag fire,” similar to the way the powers that be exploited the China Virus pandemic. And Lt. Michael Byrd of the DCCP exploited the situation on January 6 to murder Ashli Babbitt, 34, in cold blood. Other D.C. Capitol Police may have also murdered Roseanne Boyland, also 34, Kevin Greeson, 55, and Benjamin Phillips, 50, that day.

In general, I have a soft spot for Marines. My maternal cousin, Capt. Howard Goodman, USMC (aka “Capt. Barney O’Goodman”), died fighting for his country on Cape Gloucester, New Britain, on January 7, 1944. Another cousin from the other side of the family, Hugh Stix Weisman, was also a Marine Corps captain during the 1950s, but did not see combat. My late old friend, John Knox, may he rest in peace, who got it from the China Virus in March, 2020, was a Marine Corps machine-gunner in Korea. And I have a friend whose son served in combat in the USMC in Afghanistan, I believe.

Then again, who doesn’t have friends or relatives who served in the U.S. Marine Corps?

Most of my relatives who served in uniform, served in the Army. I sought to enlist in the U.S. Regular Army when I turned 17, but failed the physical three ways from Sunday. But I don’t want to sound like a gyrene-sniffer. The Simpkins/Franks and the Army have a long, honorable history together.

But I have no soft spot for general James Mattis. The only honorable way for him to go out would be for him to eat the business end of his service weapon.
