Forget about 1984, the real prophetic work was The Time Machine: White Eloi sacrificing their daughters, even their entire civilization, to the Morlocks in the name of anti-racism.
The plea of Second Degree Murder was more than I expected. I figured they were waiting for the incoming Manhattan DA to arrange a plea to "release with time served." Since Weaver's trial is apparently next year, we'll see if that happens.
