Pentagon police officer, David Hall Dixon, shot and killed two black men he thought broke into his car. However, he shot into their car as they were trying to drive away, so there are questions as to whether this is considered legitimate self-defense:

Since Mr. Dixon is clearly of Asian heritage, how much play is the media going to give this story? Or maybe it's just revenge for the relentless wave of black-on-Asian violence we see daily.

ONLY really self-defense if they were trying to urn him over. In Chicago even if they are trying to run you over and you are a cop, a gun shot has to be fired by the bad guy first. Then you can use your sidearm.
