"(abc-7) Charlottesville, Va. — a Winchester, Virginia man has been arrested for making online threats to kill vice president Kamala Harris.

"Frank Lucio Carillo, 66, appeared in U.S. District Court in Roanoke, Virginia this morning after he was arrested at his home in Winchester last week.

"the investigation began on july 27, when court documents say that the recorder’s office of Maricopa county, arizona, notified the fbi's phoenix office of potential threats from the social media platform gettr. gettr is a social media platform created by conservative political aid [sic] Stephen Miller.

Carillo made 4,359 posts and replies about president [sic] Joe Biden, fbi director Christopher Wray, and other public officials between november 2023 and july 2024, but his most violent threats were against Harris.

"the username 'joemadarats1,' which is court documents link to Carillo's ip address and email, posted about Harris 19 times.

"according to court documents, these posts included comments like, 'Kamala Harris needs to be put on fire alive I will do it personally if no one else does it I want her to suffer a slow agonizing death' and 'Crapler Harris is laying thieving piece of garbage like the rest of this administration they all need to die and they will soon' on july 27.

"on february 22, court documents also allege that the account posted 'I have my ar-15 locked and loaded.

"authorities were able to track Carillo in Winchester, Virginia. when fbi Richmond executed a search warrant at Carillo’s home on friday, they seized a 9 mm pistol, an ar-15 rifle, and thousands of rounds of ammunition.

"investigators also say that Carillo wrote, 'don’t wait for your gov. go out with your guns and kill all muslims' and 'I believe when [the] illegals show up to vote they should be shot in the head quickly they are not allowed to vote so then they must die cuz if I see any of them I’ll kill them.”

“'the fbi’s mission is to protect the American people. we take all threats of violence seriously, and we will investigate them to the fullest and hold those responsible accountable,' special agent in charge Stanley M. Meador of the fbi's Richmond division said today.

Carillo is charged in a federal criminal complaint with one count of making threats against the vice president [sic] of the United States.
