"(Reuters) Solingen, germany, aug 24 - a man suspected of a stabbing rampage in the western german town of Solingen has been taken into police custody, a state official told german television on saturday, some 24 hours after the attack that killed three people.

"north rhine-westphalia's interior minister Herbert Reul told the ard broadcaster that he was 'a bit relieved' after authorities spent the day following a 'hot lead' that lead [sic] to the arrest.

"the islamic state group earlier claimed responsibility for friday's knife attack that also wounded eight people.

"police spent the day conducting a manhunt, making two arrests that were likely not the perpetrator, Reul said.

"'the real suspect is the one that we’ve arrested just now,' he said. the individual is being questioned and evidence was seized, he said.

"Reul said the man was affiliated with a home for refugees that had been searched earlier in the day.

"police declined to immediately comment.

"describing the man who carried out the attack as a 'soldier of the islamic state,' the militant group said in a statement on its telegram account: 'he carried out the attack in revenge for muslims in palestine and everywhere.

"it did not immediately provide any evidence for its assertion and it was not clear how close any relationship between the attacker and islamic state was."

GRA: Reuters wants "evidence" of terrorism [chuckle]. What an organization of b.s.

ISRAEL UNLOADS MISSILES ON HEZBOLLAH AFTER INTELLIGENCE INFO SAID ISRAEL WOULD GET ATTACKED AT 5.A.M. SUNDAY.

(Breitbart)The New York Times reported Saturday evening that Hezbollah had planned to hit Tel Aviv with missiles at 5:00 a.m. Sunday morning Israel time, which is why the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) launched a pre-dawn preemptive strike.

The Times’ Ronen Bergman reported:

Israel’s preemptive attack was aimed at missile launchers in Lebanon that had been programmed to be fired at 5 a.m. in the direction of Tel Aviv, according to a Western intelligence official. The official said that all the launchers that were targeted were destroyed and that Israel was anticipating a harsh response from Hezbollah.

As Breitbart News reported, the IDF launched a large preemptive strike early Sunday morning local time, preempting what it said was a major imminent attack by Hezbollah. Israeli authorities urged residents of the northern half of the country, from Tel Aviv northwards, to stay near bomb shelters and safe rooms, and prohibited public gatherings of more than 130 people as a precaution. It said people should feel free to go to work if they were near available shelters.

GERMAN CHANCELLOR OFFERS SAME OLD REFRAIN:"SOMETHING MUST BE DONE(THIS MUST STOP)"--AFTER SYRIAN TERRORIST KILLS THREE AND INJURES 8 OTHERS IN
SOLINGEN.

(Breitbart)Stricter knife laws and increased deportations of rejected asylum-seekers. Those are two much-repeated promises made again Monday by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz as he talked tough on a visit to the scene of the knife attack in which a suspected Islamic terrorist from Syria is accused of killing three people.

A “furious and angry” Scholz, speaking after he joined regional officials in laying a white flower at a makeshift memorial in the western city of Solingen, promised action in the wake of the deadly attack, in which eight people also were wounded by the failed asylum seeker.

The chancellor used the same threats and vows of “something must be done” earlier this year when a similar mass stabbing happened in the regional center of Mannheim carried out by an Afghan immigrant.

The Syrian asylum seeker suspected of killing three and injuring several others at a “festival of diversity” in Germany on Friday reportedly had a deportation order last year, but authorities failed to remove him from the country, as Breitbart News reported.

“We must do everything to ensure that such things never happen in our country, if possible,” Scholz said of the attack. He predicted a toughening knife laws in particular “and this should and will happen very quickly.”

GRA:He'll be voted out of office, rather than enact new policies that work. Pols are all the same.
