Subject: How we restore balance and integrity to our federal judiciary -->

Join us for an informative briefing at 7 pm ET / 4 pm PT on September 15 with People For President Ben Jealous, Senior Fellow Elie Mystal, and Executive Vice President Marge Baker
People For the American Way
Friend,
The beginning of the next Supreme Court term is right around the corner on October 3. And after the Court's attacks on our democracy and fundamental rights in the last term, the arrival of another term is nothing short of alarming.
And it's not just Supreme Court justices who are attacking our rights. As hundreds of newly minted far-right Trump judges (the most conservative in modern history) on the lower courts also begin to erode our more cherished rights, we can and must do more to push back against their attacks.[1]
As we look ahead to the upcoming Supreme Court term starting next month, it's clear that voting rights, LGBTQ+ rights, environmental protections and more are at risk as far-right justices lay waste to longstanding precedents and legal doctrine.
But we can build upon the progress of the Biden administration as they continue to nominate, and the Senate continues to confirm, judges who would restore the integrity and fairness to our federal judiciary – with your help.
When you register to attend, you'll also be able to submit a question ahead of time for our panelists.
This is sure to be a lively and engaging conversation about the courts – one you surely won't want to miss.
We hope you can join us on Thursday,
Elie Mystal
People For Senior Fellow
Justice Correspondent at The Nation
P.S. – We'll also be discussing two new reports released by People For that offer a preview of the upcoming SCOTUS term and highlight the impact of President Biden's judges so far.

Radical Right extremists are trying to turn back the clock on a century of advances in civil rights, women's rights, workers' rights, the social safety net and more… they're waging an all-out assault on the fundamental pillars of our country – democracy, checks and balances, a fair and independent judicial branch, and core values like fairness, equality, and justice for all.
People For is fighting back every day with:
✔ Grassroots organizing
✔ Lobbying and advocacy
✔ Research and education
✔ Voter mobilization
✔ And more…
But we can't do this vital work without the robust grassroots financial support of our members and activists.

Nothing wrong with the Supreme Court that 8 more real conservatives like Clarence Thomas wouldn't fix. Alito seems alright, but don't trust the three Trump appointees, especially virtue-signalling Barett and Cave-in-all--they are establishment types. Thomas is the real thing.

People For the American Way -started by Norman Lear. What a bastard he was- and still alive, must be nearly 100. Communist actress (and activist, as the NYT described her) Marsha Hunt just passed on at the age of 104! She was still working to boost the Dems, the UN, etc. The film buffs are beside themselves with tears- if ever there was a more monolithic group of Commie sympathizers, capital-L liberals, and Useful Idiots...
