Another shocking/revealing article:
Loudoun Now – 13 Oct 2021 – “Parents, Students Press for Reform in Schools’ Handling of Sexual Assaults”
“What are you doing to protect my daughters and every LCPS student from being sexually assaulted at school?” one mother said. “You allowed a student who is currently charged with sexually assaulting a girl to be quietly transferred to another school. The same high school my twin daughters attend ... Why did you put my daughters and every 14- to 18-year-old girl at Broad Run at risk of being sexually assaulted?”
Maybe not a new problem – ?
Concerns about the school division’s handling of assaults also is a concern of a group of Woodgrove High School alumni who say they experienced sexual assault, harassment, or violence during their years at the school. They are working to change the culture at their alma mater to protect current and future students with their organization, Be Better Woodgrove.
N.S.: Note the similarity to how the Catholic Church conspired to protect priests who raped children. In both cases, we’re talking about administrators who were accessories after the fact, and who conspired to obstruct justice.

Yes, thanks for pointing that out.
>Maybe not a new problem – ?
From the comments:
I feel for Mr. Smith, he is dealing with a very dishonest organization. There was never an explanation concerning the events detailed in the Maret Investigation. Apparently, no County Official wants to hold the school board, the County Attorney’s Office or Child Protection Service Accountable. As far as the Maret Investigation CPS and the County Attorney’s Office knew of the problems in 2017 but did nothing. The pattern seems to be repeating here. ... If you read this Mr. Smith, this is what you are dealing with. This is not a one-off, this kind of behavior by those in charge is the norm. Write the Governor and other State Officials shine as much as light as you possibly can on this.
>Maret Investigation
Several former faculty members at DC private school accused of sexual misconduct
On Thursday, the firm released a 60-page report highlighting allegations against eight former faculty members, four of whom were especially egregious. ... One of the former teachers named is Eugene Legg is currently an educator at Rock Ridge High School in Loudoun County, Virginia. ... The probe says Legg had a “highly inappropriate close relationship” with a female student.
Loudoun Co. schools investigate teacher named in Maret misconduct report
The teacher is on leave from his position at Rock Ridge High School, in Ashburn, after he and three other former employees at Maret School were accused of misconduct in an independent investigation. ... According to the Maret report, the teacher was fired amid allegations of misconduct, but his account differs. In an interview as part of the Maret investigation, he “informed us that he was an alcoholic while at Maret, and left Maret due to his alcoholism.”
The teacher is Eugene Legg.
