Expert discussion of President Trump’s nyc civil show trial

[“Trump ‘rape trial’ goes to jury; is he finished after a ‘conviction’”?]

Impossible for Trump to get a fair trial in nyc.

It’s a “civil trial,” not a criminal trial. The “plaintiff” can’t identify the day, month, or year it supposedly took place. It looks bogus, to say the least.

Still, David, the proclamation that a jury—even a crooked one—found Trump to be a RAPIST—in essence—would be a tough one for Trump to come back from. The crowds would disappear, I believe. That is what this is all about. Destroy Trump.

“But there’s no evidence.”

Witness testimony is evidence.

[N.S.: Did I miss something? I thought there were no witnesses. And don’t tell me her girlfriend was a “witness.” She witnessed nothing.]

But it is more or less a “he said, she said” case. Depends on whom the jury believes, and how credible/weighty the jury finds the testimony of witnesses.

It’s a civil case, not criminal. The standard of “proof” for conviction is lower. At some point, a judge must have decided there was enough credible “evidence” to proceed to trial. Without such screening, trial courts would be clogged with frivolous lawsuits.

[No. The judge made no such decision. judge Lewis A. Kaplan simply determined, as a democrat, that the President was the enemy.]

Saw her lawyer is (((Roberta Kaplan))). She and her firm were behind the Charlottesville slaap civil suit, when the Heaphy report made it clear the authorities were responsible for all the mayhem that day. They failed to allow an approved gathering to take place by containing violent leftists, who then attacked those who wanted to attend the rally, as they were trying to leave.

Trump found liable for sexual abuse—must pay 5 million dollars

GRA: If this is the way it works on a civil case from 30 years ago, his criminal case will have him in prison in a snap.

“new york (ap) — a jury found Donald Trump liable tuesday for sexually abusing advice columnist E. Jean Carroll in 1996, awarding her $5 million in a judgment that could haunt the former president as he campaigns to regain the white house.

“the verdict was announced in a federal courtroom in new york city on the first day of deliberations. jurors rejected Carroll’s claim that she was raped, but found Trump liable for sexual abuse and for defaming Carroll after she made her allegations public.

“Trump chose not to attend the civil trial and was absent when the verdict was read.

“Carroll nodded as the verdict was read. afterward, her lawyers put their arms around her, and she hugged supporters in the gallery, smiling through tears.

“Trump’s lawyer, Joseph Tacopina, shook hands with Carroll and hugged her lawyer, Roberta Kaplan. As the courtroom cleared, Carroll could be heard laughing and crying.

“Trump immediately lashed out with a statement on his social media site, claiming again that he does not know Carroll and referring to the verdict as ‘a disgrace’ and ‘a continuation of the greatest witch hunt of all time.’”

jury didn’t find Trump raped this woman, but...

GRA: Judge’s instructions follow.

“(ap) judge Kaplan told jurors that the first question on the verdict form will be to decide whether they think there is more than a 50% chance that Trump raped Carroll inside a store dressing room. if they answer yes, they will then decide whether compensatory and punitive damages should be awarded. “If they answer no on the rape question, they can then decide if Trump subjected her to lesser forms of assault involving sexual contact without her consent or forcible touching to degrade her or gratify his sexual desire. If they answer yes on either of those questions, they will decide if damages are appropriate.”

GRA: How could they KNOW anything?

“At one point, Trump was asked about the Billy Bush convo and admitted that celebrities ‘grab women by their pu*sies.’

“He was asked if he was a celebrity, to which he replied, ‘yes.’”

Still, this verdict is a joke.

Trump said he will appeal.

GRA,

Thanks for your comment. I’ve been saying for months that I want Trump to shut up and go away.

Last point: If Trump can be found guilty of an unprovable action from 30 years ago, why can’t Biden—in the case of Tara Reid—be found liable, as well? She must not be backed like Trump’s accuser was.

This should do it, though he’s appealing the decision. I think it’s over.

“after U.S. District Judge Lewis Kaplan”

[chuckle] - what are the odds?! - the judge is named (((Kaplan))), too.

“‘I filed this lawsuit against Donald Trump to clear my name and to get my life back,’ Carroll said ...”

Sure, ok, “get your life back” - where has it been the almost 30 years since the incident?

The insultingly dumb, overwrought, formulaic rhetoric is a tip-off that the whole thing is an orchestrated hoax, and shows why people hate lawyers.

Not clear how the jury, likely a bunch of morons, could find Trump sexually assaulted her but did not rape her. Didn’t she basically tell one story about what happened? And that story included rape? But somehow they believed everything but the rape part?

That makes no sense.

Wonder what Trump thinks about the concept of “a jury of one's peers” now. But when that concept originated and the principle was written into the constitution, the country was White and only White people could be citizens. Heard there was a janitor on the jury [chuckle]. Does anyone want their fate decided by a janitor?

“I think it's over.”

Not with the maga crowd. They are ordinary people who increasingly hate the establishment and the pmc class that runs it. That core part of Trump's 2016 message hooked them. This will only make them hate it and them more. They will still support Trump. While they struggle to make a living, this is how "the other half" spends its time. Now, if they will just notice the heavy involvement of (((certain people))).

The establishment has always hated Trump (not sure why, turned out he was no threat to them). This just shows how far they will go to discredit him.

Trump could raise the $5 million buy selling some more NFTs.

https://www.coindesk.com/web3/2023/04/19/trumps-second-nft-collection-sells-out-while-prices-on-first-collection-plunge/

"The new collection features 47,000 tokens, which sold for $99 each, this time with limited one-of-one NFTs and autographed cards."

47k tokens at $100 each = $4.7 million.

I read on ZH that Trump has 11 other court cases upcoming.Either he's the worst White criminal in history,or as he's said,"it's a witch-hunt."

Unfortunately with witch-hunts,the witches are usually stamped out.

The text/comment below that, which included the link to politico, was not from GRA.

[N.S.: Did I miss something? I thought there were no witnesses.]

The victim/plaintiff can be counted as a "witness" here. She did testify. Per the verdict, one assumes the jury found at least part of her testimony credible.

But a friend of the plaintiff did appear:

https://nypost.com/2023/05/02/e-jean-carrolls-friend-testified-during-trump-rape-case/

She testified about a call Carroll allegedly made to her shortly after the incident. Also here, per the verdict the jury must have found the friend's story somewhat credible.

The friend also just happens to be Jewish.

[No. The judge made no such decision.]

What's the point of such childish denialism? Was there a pretrial hearing or not? Maybe, maybe not. If so, then like it or not, there must have been a ruling where it was stated the case could proceed to trial, and why. Whether or not there was inordinate bias behind that ruling, like everything else in this farce, is another matter. Would be interesting to see the ruling, assuming one exists.

And again perhaps the singular aspect of this is how a jury could apparently accept the sexual assault narrative (and award damages) while rejecting rape. It was all the same event, she told only one story, and that story included rape. In this regard the verdict makes no sense. What was the evidentiary reason for accepting the sexual assault story but rejecting the rape part?

Fat fuck Reid Hoffman was apparently a financial backer of the lawsuit:

https://www.forbes.com/sites/anafaguy/2023/05/10/what-was-reid-hoffmans-role-in-funding-e-jean-carrolls-case/?sh=30433d73e154

[Dmirtri Mehlhorn, one of Hoffman’s philanthropic advisors, said they provide third-party funding to legal efforts to “protect our citizens from violent threats,” and in those cases the “clients generally do not know our identity.”]

Some of the rhetoric in the article is unhinged. Liberal lunacy. You can be sure they see Trump as one of those "violent threats".

So Mehlhorn is a close advisor to Hoffman regarding philanthropy. He is also Jewish:

https://archive.is/5TX32

[Why was I so skeptical of Obama? I am white and Jewish, ...]

Yeah, "white and Jewish". That's not a thing. Like "Judeo-Christian" is not a thing.

Both of his impeachments, and now this farce SLAPP harassment suit (it's designed to harm Trump's 2024 bid), can not unfairly be seen as Jewish attacks on Trump. Jews who view themselves as progressives detest Trump. They see him as a troglodyte, and a torch bearer for white America, which they also dislike and are suspicious of. Trump's rabid support for Israel makes little difference to them, since many progressive Jews are not avid Zionists.

However even progressive Jews do not want to see open hostility toward Israel.

Here is an interesting article about efforts by organizations funded by Hoffman to support moderate Democrats, more or less on behalf of Israel:

Analyze this verdict. Trump was not found liable for the rape claim, but the lesser claim of sexual touching. This means the jury doubted the rape claim, but handed her a consolation verdict on the lesser claims. If they doubted the rape claim, how did they assign veracity to anything else she said? There was none. This was anti Trump jury nullification and election interference. I'm not a lawyer, but even I can see the mountain of reversible error on appeal here.

I think everyone nailed the analysis. Those moneybags who backed the plaintiff(i.e.fat fu*k Hoffman),need to be taken into major consideration as to a motive for pushing the lawsuit. With enough money, anyone can win a case it appears.WHY they joined with Carrol is THE great question that msm will never ask,but was answered to my satisfaction here.
