At least one member of the perp’s family isn’t circling the wagons and defending his own kind. Uncle of Abston says the whole family is wacky and is 100% sure his nephew was involved:

He still could have used a stronger word than “wacky.” If you produce someone so evil they rape and murder a young woman, you’re something else entirely.
