Colin Powell, the first black US secretary of state , has died from complications from COVID-19, his family said on Facebook.

“General Colin L. Powell, former U.S. Secretary of State and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, passed away this morning due to complications from COVID-19,” read a statement posted to his official Facebook page.

“He was fully vaccinated. We want to thank the medical staff at Walter Reed National Medical Center for their caring treatment. We have lost a remarkable and loving husband, father, grandfather and a great American.”

Powell's leadership in several Republican administrations helped shape American foreign policy in the last years of the 20th century and the early years of the 21st.

As CNN reports, his national popularity soared in the aftermath of the US-led coalition victory during the Gulf War, and for a time in the mid-90s, he was considered a leading contender to become the first black President of the United States. But his reputation would be forever stained when, as George W. Bush's first secretary of state, he pushed faulty intelligence before the United Nations to advocate for the Iraq War, which he would later call a "blot" on his record.

He was 84.

However, Covid has stepped in to fill the void so the number of respiratory infection type deaths has stayed relatively the same.

Of course, the claim is that the measures we are taking to prevent Covid from spreading are keeping other virus's from spreading and the Covid virus is much more infectious than "normal" virus. Is that true? Well, the powers that be say it is so it must be so.

“We discovered in these simulations that SARS-CoV-1 and SARS-CoV-2 have completely different ways of changing their shape, and on different time scales,” Moradi says in a media release. “SARS-CoV-1 moves faster, it activates and deactivates, which doesn’t give it as much time to stick to the human cell because it’s not as stable. SARS-CoV-2, on the other hand, is stable and ready to attack.”

Notice in the article that no scientific evidence is cited, the author just uses metaphors that sound impressive on the surface but are meaningless. The only evidence the author even cites is that most people hospitalized with Covid are unvaccinated, which is because the vaccinated won't have symptoms so of course they won't be hospitalized, but it doesn't mean they don't have the virus.
The article is from The Atlantic, which is just another globalist mouthpiece but I've seen these articles popping up here and there trying to blunt the damage caused by the CDC announcement. None of the authors of these articles have ever commented the fact that the CDC announcement they are referring to has been essentially buried by the media.; Monday, October 18, 2021 at 7:56:00 PM EDT
