Most articles I saw mentioned his crime only in passing, the nitrogen gas method of execution seemed to be the focus rather than his heinous act of rape and murder.

The below lens article beatifies him as a saint, with a small army of shrinks blaming childhood "abuse" rather than Hoffman himself:

His dindu family and friends swear he's innocent; they don't care about the evidence or that he confessed.

Author of the lens article is named Katy Reckdahl and she's a homely White coal burner who has posted photos of her negroid baby daddy and their little niglet online. No wonder she wrote this article, she doesn't give a rats' ass about his victim or that's he's an evil piece of filth. All she knows is that he was a black man who is now off the market for White women like her. She looks like the type that would have corresponded with that kind of prisoner and even tried to marry him, then devoted her life working to get him paroled. Whatever sick impulse motivates this kind of White women is a mystery, but we know it's not right or virtuous.
