The Republicans control both houses of the Michigan legislature. They could withdraw funding of the students involved, could defund the school of Music, could defund the entire university. The GOP could make this a "big issue." But I am sure they won't.

I could care less. Years ago, the U of M and Ann Arbor police refused to disclose that a local serial rapist was BLACK and instead led students to believe that he was White. When the perp was finally captured, there were no protests on campus, nor an apology from the admin about the misinformation that cost additional females injuries.
They can all go to -H, as far as I am concerned.

Steve Hsu is a brilliant guy (graduated Cal Tech at 19; there's a foto of him with Richard Feynman) -- he blogs at Information Processing -- he resigned a VP position (he's still on the faculty) at Mich St due to a 'woke' shitstorm after he made statements about genetics and intelligence -- I comment at his blog occasionally and told him he should have made them relieve him instead of resigning.

The MSU Graduate Employees Union posted a Twitter thread June 10 calling for Hsu to be removed, denouncing scientific racism, sexism, eugenicist research and conflicts of interest, sparking concerns on social media.
Too many academic administrators are spineless cowards -- it's disgusting.
You should care. Removing a man because he showed an actor in blackface is the same Critical Race Theory crap that they use to trash whites. It doesn't matter that the professor is Chinese--the forces against him are the same forces deployed against all of us whites. And it is a disgrace that the same kind of political thugs which discriminated against him in China are now running wild in America. They are a danger to us all. We should all care or freedom will permanently disappear in America. Care and fight back.

I want to make clear: here in this specific case I was referring to the president of Mich St who did not fully support Dr Hsu by telling the mob to fuck off -- before he resigned the position, Steve Hsu was also an 'academic administrator' at Mich St (in addition to being on the faculty, which he still is).
