St. Louis: Blacks Celebrate Christmas by Shooting Up City

A tip ‘o the hate to Countenance Blog.

Some cowardly whites made self-censored remarks regarding the carnage, and were of course race-baited by the neighborhood racists, as follows.

nothing good happens in the city after 10PM… Why weren’t these people home with their families on Christmas night? I have a job! I had to get up and go to work today, so I was home in bed, NOT GETTING SHOT AT!! How much of my tax money will go to care for this guy that got shot and survived? Why should I have to pay for his stupidity?

Your ignorance is warranted buddy coming from a guy who has a JOB and also INSURANCE and also enjoyed myself with friends after 10PM in the city. your stereotypical b.s. warrant’s no response however, ignorance has no color. if that type of activity isn’t for you simply speak your peace and move on, but to insinuate that this is race related, well sir I would watch my ignorant tongue

@Mister Mister

Ignorance, like crime, most definitely has a color—the color black. You race-bait all you want against anyone speaking the truth, but now that you’ve spoken your “peace,” it’s time to move on.

Anyone who denies this is a race issue is a liar, a coward, or a fool, possibly all three.

BTW, I’m white, and shooting up the town is most definitely not for me.

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – Christmas Night was a violent night with several shootings, including one that was fatal, in St. Louis City and County.

St. Louis Metropolitan Police said their busy shifts started with a murder on Cottage Avenue and Sarah Street around 10:15pm Christmas. Officers found two people had been shot in a car after a crash. The driver, a man who may have been in his 40s, died at the hospital. The 51-year-old male passenger survived with wounds in his back and arm. He went to the hospital in critical but unstable condition.

Ferguson Police rushed to the Oakmont Townhomes Apartment Complex around 10:30pm Wednesday. Police blocked off the area around the apartments on Northwinds Estates Drive near West Florissant Avenue. Officers would not say much about this investigation, at first. But, Ferguson Fire and EMS crews took a man to the hospital with a gunshot wound to his leg. He left the scene in stable condition.

Back in St. Louis City, police said a group of people had just been kicked out of Club Dante’s on Olive near Compton and near the Saint Louis University main campus. Two cars drove west onto Lindell Boulevard just before 1:00am Thursday. The passengers were shooting at each other, when one of those cars hit a third vehicle at Lindell and Vandeventer Avenue.

One of the suspect cars left the scene. The driver of the second suspect car ran away, but was arrested a short time later. Witnesses said they heard almost a dozen shots. No one was hit, and no one was injured in the crash, but a resident in a nearby apartment said he found out about all of this when a bullet hit his air conditioning unit and woke him.

Then in Downtown St. Louis, police said four men were in their car outside a nightclub on Washington Avenue near 20th Street. Around 2:30 a.m., someone fired several shots into the car. The 23-year-old driver was hit in the back. He went to the hospital in stable condition. The passenger suffered a graze wound to his buttocks and refused medical treatment. The victims said they had no idea where the shots came from or who was firing on the car.

Police are still looking for several suspects in all of these crimes.

If he enjoys himself in the city after 10 problem free, it's probably not on the north side, in north county, or on Washington Avenue. Or if it is on Washington Avenue, he gets out of wherever he is once it gets too much past 10.

NS,

Update:

The fourth incident, as I described it, was so thrilling that someone decided to do it all over again this morning.

But what caught my eye is that this black nightclub was on 20th and Washington, well west of all the (mostly) white yuppie gentrified nightclubs on Washington Avenue.
