NY TIMES SPECULATES ON TREBEK REPLACEMENT
GRA:I'll summarize: LeVar Burton, Rosie Perez, Joe Rogan and George Stephanopoulos. All have been floated on social media as possibilities to be the next host of "Jeopardy".
The Times also quoted Trebek as saying,"I would like a woman or person of color to replace me."
The chemo must have affected Trebek's thinking.Actually,as I've mentioned,"Jeopardy" has been veering to more liberal categories the last few months--many "black history" themes,liberal slants on questions involving slavery,reparations etc.
Trebek kept it fairly contained,but his liberalism broke through occasionally--the show,much more frequently.
Could anyone imagine listening to Rosie Perez for 22 minutes?You'd need a translator to figure out what she was saying in ENGLISH!
Never underestimate a show's producer's ability to make the wrong decision in these types of matters.
