I’ve gotten app. 2,600 more hits than usual, for a total of 2,695, for Jerry PDX’ single item on the newest Hollywood race hoax. I wish I could thank whoever sent those readers to us, but Google, which owns all of my many blogs, refuses to say where they came from.
Google maintains exact analytics, tracks where every hit comes from, and used to share said information with your trusty chronicler, but several years ago, it began increasing its mischief, in reducing my readership. At one point, it cut my daily hits by app. 54.5%, from 3,300 per day, to app. 1,500, even as my archive grew by leaps and bounds.
[Sigh.]

Must be my skillful use of hip urban slang, or ebonics? Actually, I suspect it may be the word "lesbian" in the headline that may have been the ticket. Howard Stern said in his movie "Private Parts": "Then I found the key to higher ratings: Lesbians".
Maybe contrive up ways to have "lesbian" in every headline, have the word on heavy rotation 24/7 to draw them in then "pow"...hit them with truth bombs.
