See Five Videos from Scarecrow (1973), Starring Hackman and Pacino, in One of the Greatest Dramatic Duets in Movie History
Hackman is Max, a tall, physically powerful man with no sense of humor but a violent temper that keeps getting him thrown into jail. But Max has a dream of opening his own car wash, and has just about saved enough to do it.
Pacino plays Lion, a little boy-man who is completely irresponsible, and unable to cope with the brutality of life—and boy, does life dish up some brutality for him! And yet, Lion is able to make Max laugh. Max is so grateful to him for that gift that he will sacrifice anything for him, for the rest of their lives.

Somehow,I've never watched this movie. I hope I can see it on the archive website,it's the type of film they(Hollywood) don't make in 2025 because a) Hollywood doesn't have the actors who can pull it off anymore--and b) it's about two Whites. You can also go into screenwriters and the woke mentality of who's writing, producing and directing today. "Scarecrow" seems like my kind of movie, definitely. Reminds me of a two man "Harry and Tonto".

Except for the prison rape scene(realistically depicted, unexpectedly).
