spectrum (formerly time-Warner) cable kills off a brilliant blog (not mine, fortunately, yet), Intergalactic Source of Truth.
I wrote the blogmeister, to let him know what was up, and he immediately wrote back:
“Whoa. I didn’t know that. Thank you.
“I let IGST lie idle a while back as it just never generated any comments in years and years of operation. Maybe 20-30? Maybe this has been happening for a long time.
“I’ve not heard of Spectrum. I looked it up and presume you referred to the ISP. I don’t think I was all that inflammatory on IGST but maybe I just get that what’s normal and sensible to me is right-wing, homophobic, anti-semitic, pro-Russian, hate speech to the sensitive and caring among us. My blogroll was the most hideous aspect of the whole site so that probably what explains the shadow banning. I’m not up on how I can find out more. At a minimum I should learn how to determine what usage I did have.
“Anyway, I now blog desultorily at https://highplainspopulism.com/ . Please let me know if you have the same problem with the new site….”
So far, I have been able to reach High Plains Populism, and hope it endures.
Either spectrum, firefox, or google has completely blocked one of my old blogs, Nicholas Stix.
