So now police dogs are ahead of White policemen--on the protected species list? What if a dog bit george floyd, killing him, while he was overdosing?Would the dog have gotten put down or sent to a kennel for 20 years?Would there have been riots and non-stop black crime in that instance? No.

Maybe Chauvin should have sigged a dog on floyd, lol.

Good doggie.

>man gets sentenced to life for killing police dogin prison

The dog wasn't killed in prison, so I guess this is supposed to say "sentenced to life in prison for killing police dog".

Except that is not true. The charges are only related to the killing of the dog. He wasn't charged with or convicted of homicide, as he would have been if he killed a cop.

"The man convicted on charges related to the shooting death of Bexar County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Chucky has been sentenced to life in prison."

Here is what he was charged with and convicted for:

"Matthew Mireles was convicted in December of interfering with a police service animal, evading arrest, and eight counts of aggravated assault of a public servant."

Hardly a sympathetic character, however you feel about dogs being referred to or thought of as "officers":

"Mireles led officers on a pursuit throughout Karnes County for about 30 minutes before moving into Bexar County and then trying to escape on foot.

Mireles fired several shots at the officers and then shot at Chucky — the 5-year-old Belgian Malinois that police deployed to try to subdue him."

So he shot at cops as well as the dog.

"A deputy also testified that Mireles was a lieutenant in the Mexican Mafia."

Hmm. The name Mireles is most prevalent in Mexico:

And:

"Because Mireles had previously been convicted, his sentence was enhanced."

Sounds like someone with a serious criminal history, and the judge decided she had seen and heard enough of him, so she did what she could to make sure he can't commit more serious crimes -- thanks judge.

But OK, whatever.

More than anything else this guy was a big time loser and now he lost hopefully forever.

I guess some sharp lawyer can on appeal suggest that a dog is not a human? What a novel idea.
