The original movie, though typically well-made and entertaining, had an insidious subtext. It was about young felines who are learning to play classical music, and, through various escapades in Paris, become involved with jazz musicians (cats, that is), and discover that black music is the REAL music. "Roll Over Beethoven" so to speak. The agenda was ALWAYS there. -RM
He's on the "The Tonight Show(braindead version) with Fallon".He's the black drummer--another reason I never tuned in.After Doc Severinsen,Leno had a couple black bandleaders on,which were tolerable.but the Roots are not--unless you like a throbbing headache before bedtime
