If Louis Vuitton can make handbags in rural Johnson county, why aren’t more fashion brands bringing manufacturing jobs back to the united states?
Not cheap.
But unlike many imported shoes, both Quoddy and Rancourt shoes can be refurbished.
That is, the threads and laces can be completely removed, and the shoe completely taken apart.
Then whatever is worn can simply be replaced.
Almost like Legos.
Shoes will last almost forever as a result.
Another great domestic shoe manufacturer is Gokey of the Ozarks.
Shoes wear like iron.
Expensive?
Yep.
But bulletproof and oh so comfortable.

Very biggest problem with manufacturing in foreign countries and then shipping to the United States is the cost for the shipping itself just too expensive
