southwest airlines cancellations drag on with no end in sight

from the dallas morning news:

Longtime friend of mine is divorced.

Her former husband is a senior pilot with southwest airlines.

He is so senior that he is on the pilots' union negotiating committee.

I can confirm this as I met him many years ago.

Royal asshole. [N.S.: That's a technical term.]

My friend said this "snafu" with southwest is intentional on the part of its various unions.

In other words, it is like the "blue flu" with police officers.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_flu#:~:text=A%20blue%20flu%20is%20a%20type%20of%20strike,States%20where%20police%20strikes%20are%20prohibited%20by%20law.

But no one wishes to go on record as stating this.

But my friend keeps in touch with her southwest contacts she has made over the years.

She swears that it is all intentional.

Basically, the winter storm gives the unions plausible deniability when it comes to the slowdown.
