A Chicago rapper died after suffering as many as 64 bullet wounds to his head and other parts of his body in what police are calling an ambush shooting just as he was released from jail.

  • Slide 1 of 20: FOURTH OF JULY EXPLODES ONTO NYC STREETS: The aftermath of a wild, illicit firework-filled Fourth of July is pictured as streets across the Big Apple were left littered with debris after the holiday. On Sunday night, the city put on its biggest firework display ever after the celebrations were paused in 2020 due to the pandemic. This year, many residents were eager to celebrate the emergence from the pandemic and lifts on public gatherings on the 245th anniversary of the country's founding.
  •
  • Slide 2 of 20: While it hasn't released any data on the holiday, the NYPD seized $54,000-worth of illegal fireworks in the weeks leading up to Independence Day, according to ABC7. The confiscations came from three different busts, in which 22 people were arrested and authorities also seized six illegal firearms. Nearly half of those arrested live in Brooklyn, including two individuals with 42 and 33 prior arrests, respectively, the news outlet reported. Police Commissioner Dermot Shea said in a statement that police developed information on major suppliers and intercepted illegal fireworks 'that result in multiple serious injuries to adults and too often children, every summer in New York City' and create a 'hazard of fire and explosion' when they're stored before sale.
  •
  • Slide 3 of 20: Last year, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio formed an 'illegal fireworks task force' to crack down on the sale of explosives across the city after dozens of furious residents honked their horns outside his mansion demanding action on the public nuisance on June 22, 2020. The creation of the task force came after data revealed fireworks complaints in New York City soared by 4,000 percent that month. From June 1 to June 19, the 311 hotline saw a massive spike in noise complaints, fielding a total of 6,385 calls over fireworks, compared to the 27 calls received in the same time in 2019, according to data obtained by Gothamist. And by mid-June last year, there were already more than 1,700 fireworks-related complaints through the first half of the month, including 455 in one night. That's up from fewer than 25 during the same period in 2019, reported ABC7 at the time.
  •
  • Slide 4 of 20: On top of the illegal revelry, the city's own display had sixty-five thousand shells on five barges sitting in New York's East River for the city's biggest ever display both in-person and on television. At least 50 pyrotechnicians had spent days loading the shells before the fuses were lit. Tens of thousands of people gathered along the city's East River in the boroughs of Manhattan, Queens and Brooklyn in order to catch a glimpse of the impressive show. At the display's most spectacular moment, thousands of golden-hued shells created a dramatic cascade effect 1,000-feet in the air and more than a mile wide across the East River. Lighting up the night's sky not only delighted crowds but restored lifelines this year for the businesses that supply the 16,000 July Fourth fireworks displays across the country.

  • Slide 5 of 20: SIN ON SESAME STREET: Two men dubbed the 'Big Bird Bandits' after they allegedly stole a $160,000 costume from a Sesame Street-themed circus have been unmasked as mullet-sporting hipsters after appearing in court for the first time in Australia.  In bizarre scenes outside court, Tasman Binder, 22 (right), and Cody Alain Milne, 26 (left), wore their best outfits as they sashayed down the steps and as reporters asked if they 'knew where Sesame Street is'. The hipsters' outfits were reminiscent of those worn by Bruce Willis and Billy Bob Thornton in the action classic Bandits.
  •
  • Slide 6 of 20: The duo was accused of stealing a big yellow bird costume (pictured) from a circus in Bonython Park in South Australia in April. The character was returned to the circus during the early hours of April 21, with an apology note - signed off 'the Big Bird Bandits'. The hipsters were each charged with an aggravated count of dishonestly taking property without consent and were granted bail during their court appearance on Wednesday. During the hearing, the prosecution supported changes to their bail conditions, including lifting a curfew and removing a ban on the friends from communicating with each other.
  •
  • Slide 7 of 20: In April, after the costume was allegedly taken, the circus was forced to pull the lovable yellow personality from his regular appearance during show intervals, leaving thousands of fans devastated. Two days later, police found the outfit dumped by an electricity box in the southwestern end of the circus with a handwritten note inside its mouth. The note (pictured) read: 'We are so sorry!! We had no idea what we were doing or what our actions would cause. We were just having a rough time and were trying to cheer ourselves up. We had a great time with Mr Bird, he's a great guy and no harm came to our friend. So sorry to be such a big birden! Sincerely, the big bird bandits.' The two men were arrested and charged two days later. Mr Binder and Mr Milne are due to face court again in November.

  • Slide 8 of 20: YOUNG GIRL FIGHTS BACK: Police are searching for three men after a 9-year-old girl was forced to fight off three men in a park near a children's playground near Manchester. Detectives said the men tried to grab the girl, who managed to break free and run away to seek help. According to the Manchester Evening News, the three suspects were wearing face coverings. Detective Inspector Louise Edwards said: 'This is a concerning incident and thankfully the child was able to run away from the men.' She went on to reassure the community that they 'are doing everything we can to find these men and have increased patrols in the area' while they investigate.

  • Slide 9 of 20: 'CRIME IS BASICALLY LEGAL IN SAN FRANCISCO': An Instagram user captured a brazen act of shoplifting in San Francisco at the luxury department store Neiman Marcus. At least 10 people stole armfuls of designer goods and then fled without anyone trying to stop them. The footage (pictured) reveals the shoplifters leaving the Union Square store, each carrying bags of stolen items with the security tags still dangling off of them. The perpetrators then ran in different directions, with a few speeding away from the scene in a white sedan.
  •

  •
  • Slide 10 of 20: One person watching the robbery said, 'They can't do anything,' perhaps referring to security at Neiman Marcus. Shoplifting cases are all too common in San Francisco, where charges of property theft less than $950 in value was downgraded from a felony to a misdemeanor in 2014, meaning that store staff and security do not pursue or stop thieves who have taken anything worth less than $1,000.
  •
  • Slide 11 of 20: The person who posted the video wrote a message demanding San Francisco crackdown on shoplifters and called for District Attorney of San Francisco Chesa Boudin to be removed from office. 'Everyone in the city is tired of this so please sign the recall petition to oust Chesa Boudin now! Crime is legal basically and allowed and tolerated due to policies put in place and supported by all our supervisors and mayor and DA,' Instagram user sfstreets415 wrote. The petition was first launched in March to recall Boudin, who has come under fire in recent years, along with the city's leadership, for allegedly not doing enough to combat San Francisco's shoplifting problem. Larceny is the most common crime committed in the Bay Area, according to the San Francisco Police Department's Crime Dashboard.

  • Slide 12 of 20: MURDER NBA PLAYER'S WIFE PULLS BACK ON PLEA: Sherra Wright, who's currently serving a 30-year prison sentence for murdering her NBA star husband Lorenzen Wright in Memphis in 2010, wants her guilty plea from 2019 thrown out. In a petition filed in court last March, she said she was bullied into making the confession because she'd been so worn down by jail guards, and because she feared for her children's lives, which were being threatened. She did not say she didn't have Lorenzen killed in the filing and instead focused on procedural issues she says means her conviction should be overturned.
  •
  • Slide 13 of 20: Mr Wright's bullet-riddled body was found in a field in Memphis in 2010, just one year after he retired following a 13-year career playing for multiple NBA teams and a few weeks after the couple divorced. The case went unsolved until 2017, when Sherra was arrested and charged with murder along with Billy Turner, a church deacon. Prosecutors said it took Wright just 10 months to spend $973,000 of the $1 million pay-out she received from Mr Wright's death, which she used to buy a new home, expensive trips to New York and two cars. She pleaded guilty in 2019, accepting a plea deal that would make her eligible for parole after nine years. Pictured: Mr Wright poses in his Cleveland Cavaliers uniform during a media day in 2008.
  •
  • Slide 14 of 20: In Sherra's petition for release, she alleged that she was 'abused on a nightly bases' by female guards, including one who is the second cousin of the victim, and was deliberately isolated from other inmates so they wouldn't witness the abuse. The lawyers also say that she wasn't given proper counsel and that her original lawyer, Steve Farese Jr., didn't hire an investigator as part of the defense.
  •

  •
  • Slide 15 of 20: In an ABC 20/20 special after the murder, friends of Lorenzen said that Sherra always wanted his money. Pastor Bill Adkins said, 'When she saw Lorenzen, she saw a future with a millionaire.' Lorenzen and Wright had six children together. During his 13-year career, Lorenzen played for the Los Angeles Clippers, Atlanta Hawks, Grizzlies, Sacramento Kings and Cleveland Cavaliers, collecting around $55.5 million in salary. On Tuesday, Lorenzen's mother was at the court for the hearing. She spoke to reporters afterwards to say she would welcome a trial because she didn't think the 30 years Sherra was given as part of the plea deal was long enough. 'I don't care what they say - she shot my son in the face. It isn't over,' Lorenzen's mother said.

  • Slide 16 of 20: The women were allegedly paid the equivalent of 300 euros a month and said they were forced to work 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Some of the workers were required to sleep on the floor and barely had time to eat while serving the prince's four children, according to Le Parisien newspaper. The women claim they were also subjected to various forms of humiliation and mistreatment over the years. Although prosecutors heard testimony from the women a few weeks ago, the Saudi prince involved has not been publicly named. It's also unclear whether the prince is in France and whether he has rights to diplomatic immunity, in which case prosecutors would likely be unable to arrest the prince or bring any charges against him.

  • Slide 17 of 20: PRO-GOLFER SHOT DEAD ON THE GREEN: Police in Georgia say pro-golfer Gene Siller was in the wrong place at the wrong time when he was shot dead after witnessing a suspect drive a stolen truck carrying the bodies of two slain men onto the green at a country club on Saturday. The Cobb County police said on Tuesday that they were following leads in their search for the unidentified gunman in connection with the triple homicide at Pinetree Country Club in suburban Atlanta.
  •
  • Slide 18 of 20: Police Sgt Wayne Delk stated that detectives have learned that Siller, a married father-of-two, was fatally shot in the head at the tenth hole after he 'happened upon a crime in progress' involving the unnamed suspect driving a stolen white Ram 3500 pickup truck (pictured). The vehicle contained the lifeless bodies of a 76-year-old Paul Pierson and another man who has not been named as of Tuesday afternoon. Police said the two victims, who died from apparent gunshot wounds. appeared to have no relation to the country club. The Ram pickup truck was registered to Pierson.
  •
  • Slide 19 of 20: The Georgia State Golf Association initially identified Siller, a pro-golfer, golfing instructor and Director of Pinetree, as one of the victims on Saturday evening. 'All of us at the GSGA are deeply saddened by the tragic events that occurred earlier today at Pinetree CC. Our thoughts and prayers are with Gene Siller's family and friends.' Siller leaves behind his wife, Ashley, and two young children (pictured). A GoFundMe has been set up to help his family.
  •
  • Slide 20 of 20: A witness told Fox 5 Atlanta that someone, later identified by the golf organizations as Siller, tried to stop the pickup truck from going on to the golf course when he was shot. Neighbor John Lavender told WAGA-TV that he heard 'five, six booms go off' and wasn't sure whether it was gunshots or fireworks. 'You just don't think it's gunshots in this area,' he said. Police are reportedly searching for a suspect.

Slide 1 of 20: FOURTH OF JULY EXPLODES ONTO NYC STREETS: The aftermath of a wild, illicit firework-filled Fourth of July is pictured as streets across the Big Apple were left littered with debris after the holiday. On Sunday night, the city put on its biggest firework display ever after the celebrations were paused in 2020 due to the pandemic. This year, many residents were eager to celebrate the emergence from the pandemic and lifts on public gatherings on the 245th anniversary of the country's founding.
Londre Sylvester, 31, who is known by his stage name KTS Dre, was one of three people who were shot just outside Cook County Jail in the Little Village section of Chicago on Saturday.

The shooting took place as Sylvester was released from the jail while wearing a monitoring device on his ankle, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Witnesses reported that two armed men stepped outside a vehicle and started shooting Sylvester, striking him in the face and chest.

Investigators found at least 59 shell casings on the 2700 block of West 27th Street, which is across the street from the jail.

Sylvester was rushed to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead just before 9.30pm on Saturday. His next of kin were notified on Sunday.

A 60-year-old woman who was reportedly with him at the time of the shooting suffered a wound to the knee. She was listed in good condition at Stroger Hospital, according to police.

Another woman, 30, had a bullet graze the side of her face. She is said to be in good condition.

No arrests have been made as of late Sunday.

Sylvester had been jailed for violation of bail bond for violating the conditions of his release in a 2020 felony gun case.

He was fitted for electronic monitoring before walking free on Saturday.

The shooting comes as Chicago continues to grapple with a surge in violent crime over the Fourth of July holiday weekend.

Statistics from the police department showed that at least 108 people were shot, 17 fatally, between July 2nd and July 4th.

Eleven children, some as young as five and six, were wounded in what was the most violent weekend of the year. Two cops were among the city's shooting victims.

Brent Grimes looking at the camera: (
The bloodshed was comparable to the long Fourth of July weekend, when 17 people were fatally shot and 70 more were wounded.

Is Merlin against this?If so,why?

Making blacks disappear would seem to be the kind of trick a guy named Merlin would appreciate. It might even be called "black magic".

The Whites can't say anything about it,while the blacks DO NOT want to say anything about it,because "carnage "is their preferred style--unencumbered by White man's law.

The obligatory end for the rap artist. He had his short life of glory. That is a lot of shots fired. Reloads required. Right where the Cook county court house is too.
