"where there's a wheel, there's a way": Justin Fields will start, Joe Namath is in the bullpen ("I just need a little more time to warm up these days") for this week's game vs. dallas (Fantasy football)
GRA: After last week's memorable come-from-behind win against Miami, in which legendary quarterback Joe Namath "wheeled" the Jets to victory, Jets' coach Aaron Glenn announced his strategy for this week's game on Sunday.
"We play Dallas, so I'm starting Fields and if needed, I send the old pro in."
It's a home game and seats are going for ten times their normal price, but fans are paying it, to catch a glimpse of 80-year-old Joe Namath throw touchdown passes--or any passes at all.
"I'm thankful for the new rule (allowing over 70-year-old qbs to use a wheelchair--pushed by a player) and that my arm is still as strong as it was forty years ago. You know my new proverb, 'where there's a wheel, there's a way.' Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go pose for a magazine called Playgirl for Grannies.
Game time is 1 p.m.

(fantasy football)NAMATH RUNS OUT OF TIME,CAN'T BRING THE JETS BACK FROM 27 DOWN,IN 37-31LOSS TO DALLAS
(GRA)The crowd rose to it's feet as Joe Namath was guided onto the field in the third quarter and the home team New York Jets down 30-3. What happened after that moment was memorable, but Namath's magic passing touch couldn't make up for the deficit served up to him by worthless quarterback Justin Fields.
Namath finished with 22 of 25 passing, good for 245 yards in 16 minutes of play and 4 touchdowns, but the final score came with four seconds left and the game ended after a failed onside kick.
"I just needed about five minutes more on the clock,"Namath asserted at the post game press conference.
In real life,Justin Fields was lousy again, until the game was out of reach, with the Jets losing 37-22.

(fantasy football)FIELDS INEFFECTIVE AGAIN,NAMATH PULLS OUT SECOND COMEBACK WIN IN THREE GAMES FOR THE JETS 14-13.
(GRA)Justin Fields's numbers spoke for themselves: 9 of 17 for 45 yards, while getting sacked NINE times, through 3 1/2 quarters, but New York Jets coach Aaron Glenn left the ridiculously bad quarterback in,hoping for any sign of talent from his starter, until finally turning to 80 year old veteran,Joe Namath for some wheelchair offense midway through the last quarter.
Namath found his first two series difficult against the Denver Bronco defense, but put together two solid passes on third down plays, setting up a winning field goal and a win,14-13.
"Tough defense,"said Namath,"but we got the win."
In REAL LIFE:Fields continues to be the league's worst quarterback and the Jets dropped to 0-6--losing,13-11.
