"september 25, 2025 (abc7) a los angeles man is now in custody after he 'allegedly' [GRA: He confessed] murdered and dismembered his 37-year-old wife, an aspiring defense attorney from scotland, after getting in an argument about her weight, according to her family and court documents.
"June Renteria, also known as June Bunyan, was found dead on sept. 11 after she was allegedly [sic] killed by her husband, 25-year-old Jonathan Renteria, who admitted to the crime in a handwritten letter, according to a criminal complaint obtained by abc news on friday. prosecutors are calling the murder 'particularly heinous and egregious.
"'my wife, June Renteria, is deceased in her apartment. I kill her. I am truly sorry,' the handwritten note read, according to court documents.
"Renteria was charged with murder,mutilation of a corpse and sexual contact with human remains.
"on october 6th, his lawyer claimed a bout of psychosis caused his client to commit the act, along with the threat by his wife to take their one month old son away from him 'forever.
"the argument that precipitated the heinous murder, reportedly began over June's failure to lose weight after childbirth."

Police say Singh was speeding and under the influence, never hitting his breaks, when he crashed into slow moving traffic on the freeway, causing a devastating and deadly chain reaction crash that killed 3 people. The victims have not been identified yet.
