"five people were taken to the hospital after a shooting near Howard university friday night, according to the metropolitan police department (mpd).

"officers responded to sounds of gunfire in the 600 block of Howard place nw shortly before 8:30 p.m."

And these are examples of shootings that are REPORTED. You know there's more than that going on. Just taken from rare reports of honesty of media in Grand Rapids,when WOOD sends a reporter to a neighbirhood after a murder,the neighbors are usually quoted:"We hear guns goin' off all the time."

No blood,no cop cars.

NIGADELPHIA (WPVI) -- One man is dead and another is in critical condition following a shooting Saturday morning inside a home in the city's Olney section, police said.

Officers responded to the 400 block of Grange Street just before 5 a.m. and found a 25-year-old hispanic man dead inside the residence. A 33-year-old black man was also found with several gunshot wounds and was rushed to Jefferson Einstein Hospital, where he remains in critical condition.

Police say they have identified a suspect but no arrests have been made. Investigators are speaking with witnesses as they work to determine what led to the shooting.
