"Since it was a teenager killed in Sunday's shooting, Griffey has a message for his young neighbors.

"Kids, stop the gun violence. Learn how to talk about your problems. It’s not that serious," Griffey said.

GRA:The keeds, thugs and gangbangers took a vote and decided to ignore your advice and kill you instead. Hope you've already moved.

SAME bLACK B.S.--DIFFERENT CITY:17 YEAR OLD "BOY" NIG NAPPED IN GRAND RAPIDS--PATROLS DON'T HELP

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A 17-year-old boy has died after a shooting Saturday night on Grand Rapids’ southeast side.

The Grand Rapids Police Department says the shooting happened at approximately 8:30 p.m. at a house on Umatilla Street near Madison Avenue(GRA:95% coonsville.). GRPD Chief Eric Winstrom told News 8 that nearby officers heard the sound of gunshots and started searching the area.

(GRA:So cops in the area aren't a deterrent--check.)

“(They) heard a volley of shots and responded to the scene,” Winstrom said. “There’s probably between 75 to 100 shell casings out there, probably numerous shooters.”

(GRA:Popular thug--"a great guy.")

First responders attempted life-saving measures on the victim, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. They did not provide any information about a potential suspect.

(GRA:Winstrom said,"many(black)shooters!")

The chief said that several witnesses and neighbors have been cooperating with investigators.

(GRA:Sure.)

“One consistent theme that I have heard over and over as I walk these streets is that the residents here are absolutely sick of this. They’re sick of the violence here. They’re not going to (put up with it),” he said. “We have had a ton of cooperation. The 911 calls coming in after the fact, providing us with information. It’s good to see the neighborhood stand up and say they’re not going to tolerate this.”

(GRA:Quit paraphrasing "Network".)

Winstrom noted that “there is a ton of evidence out there.” Many officers that were helping cover ArtPrize shifted to assist with this case.

“That was coming to a conclusion, so all of those officers moved up here to help us do a full canvas of the area, looking for evidence, talking to witnesses,” he said. “There is a lot of work to do. We have shrunk the crime scene a little but there is a lot of forensic evidence to collect, a lot of photographs to take and still a lot of people that we want to speak to.”

“It’s just devastating to everybody on this block and everybody in this city that we had another teenager whose life was taken,” Winstrom said. “We have got to do better as a city. I don’t know what to say at this point.”

GRA:Not better "as a city"--WHITES aren't doing this.Jeesh. Bottom line,no arrests made.
