"live tv footage of a california police chase ended in horror as a fleeing suspect [sic] was mowed down and killed by a passing car before the cameras could cut away"
The headline editor is saying that "the horror" wasn't that a driver killed the auto thief, but that the cameras didn't cut away before the driver killed the guy. But why would viewers want the cameraman to cut away before the climax? Wasn't that the whole point of the video?!

TV doesn't like visuals to(possibly) deter crime.
