I've seen these headlines before about Ukrainian, or Russian men "deserting", and the headlines make them sound like cowards that won't fight for their country. Then when I see media articles about non White soldiers from africa, arabic or asian countries "deserting", they are always described as "escaping forcible conscription" by a despotic regime or "former child soldiers", the second is the favorite one they use for negroes trying to make them sound harmless, never mind the mass killings and mass sexual violence they committed. Rarely is the word desertion used for them, unless they can put it into some kind of sympathetic context.
