Subject: Ben Shapiro's Proposal
From Your Longtime Reader:
Many commenters observe that such a pardon would result in immediate nationwide rioting; after all, the conviction of Chauvin in the first place--on state and federal charges (in itself double jeopardy)--was to prevent just such an explosion.
Chauvin was a sacrificial victim, unfortunately, and like some other white racial scapegoats, must remain in prison for the foreseeable future to keep the peace.
Trump has got to choose his battles, and he is currently engaged a number of them--clamping down on illegal immigration, ending affirmative action and DEI, and reducing government waste. All of these are earning him enough enemies.
N.S.: I must respectfully disagree. blacks have been doing this for years--destroying the lives of innocent Whites, based on this implicit threats. The families of racist, black thugs have also been cleaning up to the tune of tens of millions of dollars each. And what is the result? The blacks still riot, destroy entire cities, and murder people. The authorities also routinely issue racist blacks millions of free crimes per year. The answer to black riots, and murder and mayhem has to be shooting some rioters, and putting away others for 20 to life. There's no other way.

Would be a true gutsy move by Trump. I'm not sure he's capable. The odds are 80-20 against.

The idea of destroying the life of an innocent man to kowtow to violent thugs is an unAmerican act of cowardice. Such an injustice must not be allowed to continue if Americans are to hold to the ideals of liberty and justice for all. Let the blacks riot and arrest and shoot to kill. It is high time this country stood up against the thugs who have done so much to destroy American cities.
"let the blacks riot and arrest and shoot to kill..."
Only the blacks rioting would happen, arrests and shooting at the blm'ers is not allowed in most big cities by nig mayors. Trump would have to go over the heads of Dem governors and send in national guard troops(governors must request national guard for it to happen),which opens up a whole new state vs national showdown scenario,if Trump superseded those rules. Trump SHOULD do it,but Chauvin wouldn't go anywhere because of state charges he was convicted of. The Minnesota governor would have to pardon Chauvin too.

Hopefully Trump will pardon Chauvin, and other White race scapegoats, in a flurry of "end of term" pardons. With Waltz as governor, chances of a state pardon for Chauvin are zero but it would be symbolically meaningful.
