I stumbled onto a nothing obit of Drum at an indian click-bait Website called “amy-movie”. Like all indian “news” Websites, it just wastes readers’ time, while selling ad space. Fortunately for yours truly, my chief of research set me up with a state-of-the-art ad blocker, so that I’m shielded from most such eyesores.

“Remembering Kevin Drum: A Legacy of Thoughtful Journalism and Political Insight”: In the “thing” by content provider Saurav Ray, you will not find a single iota of quotes, or even links to, any “thoughtful journalism” or “political insight.” I doubt that Saurav Ray has read much of Drum’s work.

However, Saurav Ray did at least summarize one aspect of Drum’s work, and quote from an interview Drum gave, which puts Ray’s work head and shoulders above that of his indian colleagues, who typically do things like publish the same “thing” twice at the same click-bait Website, in which the content provider purports to tell us that George Strait isn’t crazy about his wife’s shopping habits.

How could Murrow or FDR be anyone’s “intellectual hero”? Neither man did anything intellectual.

Drum was apparently best known for promoting (it wasn’t his theory) a fake theory (“lead-crime”) whose entire reason for being was to tell a racial blood libel, in which black criminals were given a pass, and their crimes blamed on White landlords. Never mind that millions of White children also grew up in apartments with lead paint. Such racist blood libels go back at least to propagandistic, black supremacist/communist novelist Richard Wright.

Note that black supremacists and their white ally/lawyers, including the family of petty baltimore criminal Freddie Gray, have extorted millions of dollars out of White landlords, asserting that lead paint had caused them to lose IQ points.

How do you do that? You show that since the average White iq is 100 and the average black iq is 85, then the lead paint must be responsible for the “disparity.”
