Let's debate birthright citizenship Thursday night on Zoom!
You may have read about our work with the great group Braver Angels. They are working to get people who are from different political viewpoints to be able to discuss their differences in a civil, respectful way. We are completely with them on that, and so we are a proud charter member of their Braver Network.
This Thursday, NumbersUSA is sponsoring a Braver Angels Zoom debate: Resolved: End Birthright Citizenship. I hope you will join us for this online event to watch it and even to participate, if you want, as a speaker along with me for our side. (Can't join live? See bottom of email to request a replay)
Here's the link to reserve a spot for Thursday's online debate, at no cost to you, as a NumbersUSA member. The debate is taking place on "Zoom Video Conferencing," which you can easily access on any web browser.
On the EventBrite page, just click Select tickets >> Reserve a spot >> Choose Free Registration >> Check Out >> Register
Our NumbersUSA position is that citizenship should be given automatically only to children born here with at least one parent who is a citizen or legal permanent resident. So, no more automatic citizenship handed out to all children of illegal aliens or tourists. Do you agree with us on this? I'm pretty sure you do. |

Debate:Should birthright privilege be the law?
Answer:No.
Counterpoint(by democrazies):But the amendment was written that way.
Answer:No,it wasn't--mex weren't a gleam in the eye of the pols back then. Invasions,in fact, were "frowned upon".
