See Charlie Buchinski, Better Known as Charles Bronson, in the Pilot of Man with a Camera (1958), for Free, and with No Commercial Interruptions (only 25:57 Long)

The writing isn’t great, but Charlie sure is.

A year or two ago, I saw a bootleg copy of one of the first episodes of Have Gun, Will Travel, one of Richard Boone’s Western series. Charlie played a skinny, little guy who goes around shooting men to death, simply because he doesn’t like them. Paladin (Boone) asks him, if you don’t like ‘em, why don’t you beat ‘em up?”

Charlie: Because I’m no good at that, and I don’t wanna lose.

That’s all paraphrased.

“The Outlaw” (1957) did have great writing. The bad guy had good attributes, and each man takes turns saving the other’s life.

Paladin: “Well, unfortunately, you can’t be allowed to go around killing everybody you don’t like.

Manfred Holt: “Yeah, it does sound like I got me some bad habits.”

Bronson portrayed Mike Kovac, a former World War II combat photographer freelancing in New York City who specialized in getting the photographs that other lensmen could not. He usually assists newspapers, insurance companies, the police and private individuals, all of whom want a filmed record of an event.”
