Yeah, they do -- and he's scum -- but what does that have to do with police staffing levels and response times? -- the DA has no direct control over that -- Soros and other 'defund' types may have some indirect influence over it.

He's to blame -- a mayor (or city manager) is ultimately responsible for a city's budget, including money for the police department and how it is spent (since a police chief answers to the mayor or city manager).

It's the philosophy of the city.Grand Rapids had a fat,black police chief,who when he took office,he--along with the black city manager and ultra liberal White female mayor--decided to decline to check if Mexicans were legal citizens or not upon being stopped or arrested.
They also agreed that the police should be less confrontational with black thugs.
It all swirls together in the toilet bowl I call Grand Rapids and which this city calls Austin.
