Just as you can guess that certain types of criminals are probably black or Mexican, so you can usually guess that the killer dogs are pit bulls. Recently I read that a woman who defended pit bulls as not being vicious, was killed by the pit bull who lived in her house. People are in denial about the nature of pit bulls--like blacks, they can turn violent with no warning. I am a dog lover, but there are plenty of nice dogs what are unlikely to kill you--the nicest dog in my neighborhood is a border collie--he squeals with pleasure when he sees me. And I've never met a poodle mix or "doodle" that wasn't sweet and friendly to everyone. I think people buy pit bull type dogs because they have a desire to have a dog that can kill other dogs or people--its a macho thing,
In my experience, they want to rehab the reputation of these animals. They don't die trying but the neighbors might. Like Authors and their pet murderers.
By the way, if you can't carry a shotgun or at least a handgun, stun guns appear to work well against vicious dogs. Just the sound of the spark jumping between the electrodes scares dogs away. Of course if it doesn't scare them, you can always apply it to incapacitate them. And there is also pepper spray. Better yet, try to avoid the kind of neighborhood where there are lots of pit bulls--many of them apt to be loose--you'll also be avoiding the type of people who have loose pit bulls.
Hey, macho thing, yes blacks, especially like Pitbulls to fight them for money there is large-scale gambling going on like with Michael Vick and his dog business large scale with enormous amounts of money bet per dog per fight
Pitbulls not only kill people, but many tens of thousands of other small pets and wild animals as well. They are vicious.
