Paul Craig Roberts: Are You Ready For A Worse Dystopia Than 1984? | Zero Hedge

Authored by Paul Craig Roberts, I have been lonely in my concern with the dire economic implications of robotics, but now Clarity Press has provided me with some company by publishing The Artificial Intelligence Contagion by David Barnhizer and Daniel Barnhizer.. It is telling as to the irrelevance of the economics profession that the coauthors are lawyers.

I think a lot of persons fear a dystopian world. That word dystopian unknown until just a few years ago. Dystopian as from a whole lot of possibilities or combination of possibilities almost endless in number. Events of an apocalyptic nature.

A de-evolutionary backlash is coming at some point.People making people obsolete(with robots) will never occur. Before that,as a commenter mentioned on ZH,a few bullet holes in the replacement 'bots would make companies see the error of their ways.Paying people--out of a giant fund that companies contribute to--from the money saved by replacing humans with robots--for the purpose of allowing everyone to sit around and ponder their navels, will never succeed.Violence, war, disease and de-evolution will send us back a few millenia to square one--caves,rubbing sticks for fire--but hopefully no negroes,Muslims or Mex to worry about...lol.
Hopefully,we can get it right the second time around(doubt it).
