This is a technique of the GOP, to take dry humor + sarcasm literally and “fact check” it.

Like the “world ending in 12 years” thing, you’d have to have the social intelligence of a sea sponge to think it’s literal.

N.S.: Cong. Cortez has never exhibited “dry humor.” Likewise, she never spoke of the “world ending in 12 years” sarcastically, in contrast to Republicans, and even Democrats like House Speaker Nancy Pelosi responding to her alarmist claims.

Note too that there’s no such thing as “social intelligence.”
